Absolutely beautiful Sir

my friend, Bob, is an impressive guy. due to a set of unforeseen circumstances , Bob, was only able to video his pet project, never actually fly it.. He now shares this inspiration. Bob is a professional in video production and has brought his dream to the you tube family. I hope this serves as a tool for others to share in their ultralight experiences also. I, myself, do not fly but enjoy to no end those that put together kits and actually do fly.

The redrive was made by 2si. I believe it was a 2.1:1 ratio. The engine cruised around 4,000 to 4,200 rpm. There are no conversion plans. Engines were made by a fella named Larry Israel. Check out KZfaq for "Thunderchief engine"

Here's what I did. Take the prop off to adjust or work on the carbs. Much easier to not have the prop in your way when it's running. The engine has a flywheel so it should run okay without the prop. Watch your temps. Without the prop moving air, it could heat up fast. Don't overheat! It always ran real good for me, so it can be done. Bob

I built the wings and tail surfaces. Got the fuselage when I bought the engine. Haven't made a cowling yet. Because of the exhaust, it will be difficult to make. Maybe this winter.

This is pretty darn good camera work (steady, clear, perfect lighting, good tracking on the target) compared to 99% of the videos on utoob. Sounds sweet, that engine. Congratulations! Nice plane. Direct drive or PSRU? What (if any) reduction ratio ?

what make/model redrive is that? How many rpm do you run the Citroen at? Who has conversion plans for the 2CV engine? sweet job there.

Nice, I believe that at idle there is a self feeding coupling vibration between engine and gear box which is not nice or good?
