@JuergenGDB How are those statements mutually exclusive? In case you haven't noticed, it's precisely because there are too many people like that driver in the US that guns are a problem. Guns aren't a problem in places like Switzerland because the number of nutjobs and shady characters who are allowed to have guns is pretty much 0. Also, guns can only be loaded and discharged in shooting ranges, and only if you're licensed. In the US, on the other hand, you can find guns and ammo everywhere, it doesn't take much to own one and there's no strict control (too many loopholes, too many states with different regulations, too big of a country, too many guns and too many people). Now imagine that driver taking out his gun and shooting at every car that passed by... that wouldn't be even more dangerous, would it?

Back then when I started driving on my own there were fewer car accidents and you didn't see people on a cellphone texting and driving this was the early 2000's before smartphones the roads has gotten worse over the last 14 years as newbies get a hold of a Driver's License the roads become less safer then they used too be then you have the idiots that get behind the wheel after leaving a Bar and they are either caught or end up killing someone even a family the Justice system is the biggest joke these R...e.....tards always get a light sentence after taking someone's life. Then there's the morons that thinks they are above, driving reckless cutting in and out of traffic unnecessary lane changes and tailgating people.

Very good point made. Also--when you ARE scoping well ahead of you down the road--make sure to watch for the wildlife called "deer". I live in Wisconsin, and I know that, very often, YOU ( the driver) do not hit the deer! Rather, they often come charging out of tree-lines, small patches of woods, across open fields, etc. , and there is nothing you can do about it. EXCEPT...by applying some of the techniques listed by individuals in these comments sections, you can pick up practical, often "learned-first-hand" ideas and tips to avoid these very large animals. Even RACCOONs can do a lot of damage to the front, and underside of a vehicle! (Yeah-I know firsthand.) I also know about the "deer vs. Dodge Grand Caravan" experience! Basically, In deer country (which MN and WI is)...if you see a deer enter the roadway, from a ditch...expect there to be another. Or even more. If you do not see more- good for you! This can happen in urban areas as well as in the country- but, of course, everything changes...for the worse...when it is October and November and some of December...because of "The Rut". Look it up. Please be safe out there! Pay attention to people's vehicle's tailights...night and day!

Got a ticket for Speeding, Improper pass, Driving wrong way Down one way road, not using signals on turn, not using signals when passing. Currently in jail, but will serve prison time.

Yes. The sensors would alert the driver from a pretty long distance and it would also utilize crash prevention as in applying brakes and steering out of the lane.

The cars are coming out each other at around a hundred twenty miles an hour if they're going 60 miles an hour each way. That and you weren't expecting someone to head the wrong way. All it takes is looking away for just a second.

I don’t work for DOT or MSP, but as near as I can tell, they have about 600 - 800 cameras. They seem to archive on them but only save footage for a few days. It’s definitely an impressive system!

Minnesota Dept of transportation has an extensive traffic management system. There is a traffic command center where operators can control each camera. They can communicate with law enforcement and this is the reason for the rapid response.

In Florida, you can be ticketed for not letting cars pass you, even if you are driving the speed limit. You have to move to the right if someone is behind you and wants to pass.

That's because they aren't interceptors
