@@PhotoWays will definitely do it's been so long since I bought film even though I have a couple of film cameras I normally buy digital but the camera looked great for $30 dollars

Took some pictures this Saturday with the Dynax it took me back to the old days it's been a long time since I used film lol today I got the pictures made that I took in the high desert and most of them came out pretty nice not a bad camera but I have to say I like the Minolta Maxxum 50 I have much more in my opinion I think it takes much better pictures and I like the use of it even more but all in all it did good

I've got a dynax 5 that I really like. I'll be doing a video on that as soon as I get the rime, but this is a very busy time of the year!

It was an entry level beginner SLR. I think where they went wrong with this model is that, even though most buyers of this camera would be shooting in auto 90% of the time anyway, the aperture and shutter speed cannot be set manually, therefore the beginner has no way of progressing/learning in practice about aperture and shutter speed, and any more experienced user has no way of shooting manually when they want to. It's kind of like having a point and shoot that can use Minolta A mount lenses. That's not a niche many people want or need.

Well, it's not a niche that many people would want to be in now, but at the time Minolta would have wanted people to upgrade their bodies.

@@PhotoWays Ok, but I thought from the video you don't like it. If that's not the main flaw of model, what's the main issue with it compared to similar models in this price range?

Well, the point and shoot nature is something that I will always find frustrating. There were so many better models that Minolta brought out. I also think the flash is ghastly, both atheistically and in use. Again, it could have been so much better.

hey! my mom has this camera and I’m gonna start using it. although it seems to be in perfect state, it’s been over 20 years since anyone has used it. it still has the original Varta Photo Lithium 2CR5 6V battery in it. Do I need to buy a new one or is it rechargeable?

You need to get a new battery. Around £7, but they last for ages.
