Tap Dance Man is a deep character, I would like to see an origin story of him.

Jeremiah Birkett is incredible. I grew up in London U.K. and that show and his character hit me hard. I was in my living room buggin out, feeling like... "Tap Dance Man is speaking to my soul". WATCHA GON DOOOOooo?

I just binge watched THEM COVENANT and Jeremiah’s performance had me gripped to the tv. What a brilliant take on that character.

I got done watching Them, earlier today. So much went on in it. So much to think about. I've known about racism as it was in the past, to a degree, and about minstrel and black face. I still learned quite a lot, though, by watching the show. I've been looking up info related to the show. Behind the scenes things. The tap dance man, especially intrigued me. I couldn't tell if he was a good or bad character. When I noticed the black skin under the black face makeup, I was like, "wow" I think that gave it another layer. And the end, the twist that happens, when Henry wipes off the tap dancer's makeup. Whew. I was not expecting that. That character is one that sticks in your head. Thank you for interviewing Jeremiah. I learned things from your interview, that I didn't know. It's fascinating, seeing where he got inspiration from. The stomping bits, those were quite creepy/unsettling. And when you'd see the big teeth, and the abnormal jaw movement, and the dark black, huge, round eyes. He did such a good job.

Da Tap Dance Man is part killer whale, part Venom, part Pennywise, part blackface character. That's what makes him so scary. And it's all steeped in the blackface concept. When I first saw it, I couldn't believe how scary and parts of those things that I mentioned above that he was. That's some scary shit. I mean a mothafucka with a killer whale concept, that looks like Pennywise mixed with Venom? Shiiiiiiit... Jeremiah wasn't lying about Howard Berger's make-up job. Brilliant. Scary. And the whole thing has those elements and is a blackface horror character on acid. Part tormentor and part inner-rage.

I've never seen that show. Now I'm going to have to find it.

This show is incredibly disturbing and brutal to watch and its a shame many saw that as a negative and disregarded it as exploitation.
