Hello - I am from the United Kingdom - England to be precise - I just wanted to say that your channel is my new favourite channel. Your delivery is superb , i love the way you go into depth about your reasoning - here in the uk we are barely allowed to carry a swiss army or camp - but when i go to Finland I will certainly use some of the kit you use . home defence here is a baseball bat :) anyways - new sub and loving the videos !!

Mine, along with my ammo and gun safe is kept in a 12' x 12' concrete bunker in my basement. The bunker also has 100 days of food and bunk beds and serves as a storm shelter. Home Defense is a locking Gun rack in my master bedroom closet(Shotgun/AR MK 18) pistol and Bio lock handgun safes on both sides of the bed!

Former Security Police Dog Handler here. I just have to say that I am very impressed with your knowledge and the fact that you are willing to share some of what you know with the public. Things are WAY different than when I served. For one, we didn't have nearly the gear that you do. Secondly, SF stood for Special Forces, specifically the Green Berets. Not criticizing, it's just where my mind goes when I hear SF. My son is planning on joining when he graduates next year. He's mainly considering your career field. Any advice? I've told him what I know, but I know that everything is quite different from when I was in.
@Cgny
@Cgny 4 жыл бұрын
Is your son open to the active duty lifestyle? If you have any national guard bases near by have him consider that. At my base security forces positions are always available in full time AGR positions. Pretty damn good money especially for a young buck. Can also pick another career field and still cross train and work security forces in the guard. Just throwing that out there seems like an option a lot over look.

Right on, I do almost the exact same thing. I have made mine a little bit more portable. I use a three gun rifle case that I can throw my G 34, carbine, and my Bonelli Inside with a full load out. Then I take all my items like my helmet, plate carrier, Battle belt, a set of boots that I have already worn in, and a change of clothes. Lastly topped off by a 72 hour pack and a gas mask. As much as I would love to throw them in a big trunk or toolbox, I just want to be able to throw my stuff in the back of the truck with one person and leave. Good video

Cool to see someone else still using a 590 for HD. Short AR’s are all the rage right now, for good reasons, but I still prefer a 12 gauge pump for home defense. If SHTF, I’m definitely grabbing one of my AR’s but for your standard home invasion, it’s hard to beat 8 rounds of #4 buck.

Great content. I really like the idea of the truck box. My truck has the folding bed cover so I wouldn't be able to mount it on the truck. However, like you have it is a good idea. Just one question (asking for a friend): why would you store you rifle at the bottom of your box. I get the shotgun, but why not your rifle as well? Just another question: I really like the idea, but what about another box, but what about another 50 caliber box for your weapons cleaning kit? Perhaps for some spare batteries too? Please believe when I say that you really have a good in a kit box. Thanks for sharing it. One of the best videos I've seen with really good content.

What more could you realisticly improve upon when it's a general purpose rifle?
@nickb408
@nickb408 2 жыл бұрын
@@PreparedAirman pistol grip, butt stock, muzzle device, and even the charging handle are all relatively easy realistic improvements that could be made. Not that mil spec doesn’t work because it obviously does. But thats why I asked the question of why you prefer it?
@PreparedAirman
@PreparedAirman 2 жыл бұрын
To me they are all the same, cosmetic changes don't do very much in the improvement aspect. Maybe muzzle device to attach a Suppressor. It's kinda like a car. Cosmetics don't do much for performance, rims, paint, tint, lights, but if you upgrade the engine and tires now your improving things. I run it because I'm used to it. I use it Active duty everyday and I'm good with it. But again this is just my opinion and what I use for me. Other folks have different needs.

@PreparedAirman

Camo patterns definitely depend on location for me. Some are better then other in different climates. I also prefer buttons not velcro. Could care less of the nose velcro creates but that it wares out over time and its more difficult to replace.

Not a bad concept, actually, i kinda like it, alot. That being said , you war belt was i think the third item out, while the pants belt it velcro's to is almost last item. Might find a way to attach cargo webbing to the underside of the lid and store your clothes there that way you can put the pants on befor you get to the war belt. Also , while i think i saw a multi tool, i did not see a fix bladed knife.

Any left handed shooter can attest that you need to be wearing eye pro, when using an M4 in particular. With your face on the right side, directly behind the ejecting rounds you tend to get a lot of "bullshit" blowing back into your face. Especially when running suppressed, that extra blowback really blasts right into your face and if you dont have eye pro, you are going to have problems lol.

@casocathasaigh6716
@casocathasaigh6716 4 жыл бұрын
Hmm, no one answered you. I would recommend a gun that uses magazines. Revolvers are generally easier to use, but loading it might be hard bc if arthritis. I recommend a gun that has no external safety, Beretta M92 type G or Glock variants. (Type g specifically for the Beretta) I would also recommend looking into kits to extend/enlarge the magazine release. Long guns like rifles or shotguns have their own unique things that make them better, sometimes harder to use. Regardless, you will need to go to a gun shop and handle the various pistols and rifles. You may find that racking a pistol is too difficult and instead using a shot gun is easier. (A plain shotgun would be my second recommendation (mossberg 500 or remington 870) .410 or 20 gauge would be good if you are recoup sensitive to 12 gauge. More than a weapon, I recommend you to get training with it. With proper training, you may be able to work past your age limitations. I recommend going to a gun shop and presenting this same question, those guys will generally love to help. While your there, I quire about going to a Conceal Carry course. This course will teach you and give you the paperwork you need to purchase a carry permit. (You might not conceal carry but these courses are not too expensive, and will provide you some skills.)

You need to do videos of yourself using your stuff. Look up nutnfancy channel on KZfaq you will see how many subscribers he has. Doing "run and gun" will make a lot more people want to watch your videos. You will show how well certain gear holds up you may even get sponsors and then they will pay you plus give you a bunch of gear and you use it and review it in your videos. You have the potential to get a lot bigger here on KZfaq you just have to put the work in. You should definitely have a team if you have all that stuff and you need to have them in your videos while you are using your stuff plus maybe even do videos on different topics like small unit tactics the possibilities are endless bud I hope you consider my advice.
