📍Don’t forget to retrieve the little filter off the side of motor when you clean it out. Replacements can be ordered. 📍Get gunk off top tray- soak for just a few minutes in vinegar/water, wipes off or use a nylon scraper on tough spots. Also- top can be pried apart at tabs to really give it a good cleaning. 📍Use vinegar 5 cups + water to fill, OR bleach 1/4 cup + water. Run through. Dump and rinse all then run through w/ plain water 2 more times. ✨This entire method works well, I’ve used it several times.

By the way, just following the recommended cleaning using Vinegar or bleach, does not clean out the roots that have made their way into the top platform waterways. It's fairly easy to separate the two halves of the platform, as it's only held together by six tabs around the edge that you push away from the edges to release. Look closely at them an you will see that you push only the top part, not the whole thing. They will kind of 'pop' when released. I have two aerogardens. One separated fairly easily, the other put a bit of a fight. Use your thumbs as they are stronger than the rest of your fingers.

Thanks for the info. I have a different model (the Classic); however, the cleaning instructions with mine indicate you should use 1/4 cup of bleach for 5 gallons of water. Given your model only holds less than 2 gallons, I think 1/4 cup of bleach may be too much. I don't know if that makes any difference or not as long as it's rinsed well, but just thought I'd let you know.

I tapped something wrong again. , sorry. I succeeded in setting up my very 1st Bounty Basic, with heirloom lettuce , did all the steps right, thanks to terrific peaceful videos like yours!!! You have such a pleasant voice .BUT I need advice, since I can’t read the tips ‘ I read the guide,with magnifier , which says I can set the pump cycle. But the light came, stayed on ,the pump came on for the few minutes .The pump has not come on again for 24 hours? The guide doesn’t have the steps to test the pump, or get it going? AeroGarden doesn’t answer phones, because of Cov 19, & they don’t have Chat, and their email is so cumbersome, it’s impossible. I am so grateful for your caring & competent videos . Keep up the good work.

Hello Missy, I am at 14 days now on my Lettuce Grow. I am thinking??? Maybe in another week or so I can do a crew cut and make me a salad.. I purchased the Gallon Jug for re-filling and mix 3 caps of nutrients and put it in the Jug, then I fill it every few days vs waiting for the Little computer tell me to do it. Looking foreward to see what you are growing next... Keith

Thanks for the video. My Aerogarden arrives later this week. If I remember correctly from my chemistry class, it is safer to add the bleach to the water, rather than the other way around. It reduces the chance of being splashed by a high concentration of bleach.
