I'm here because I heard they got married last year. That's so heartwarming. I was about five when the movie came out, and I saw it on TV when I was ten or eleven and it has never left my mind since. I've watched this film many, many times over the years and it's kind of a part of me. It's like a dream weaved into my reality, I know every single line in the movie and it'll always be special to me.

One of my all-time favourite movies, I've watched it several times in the early hours of the morning and it gives it an extra sort of edge given that the movie is taking place in those hours. Great story that these 2 are now married after knowing each other for 35 years

My dad always watched old movies from his generation. Well i'm doing the same in my 50's. I really enjoy rewatching movies from my generation of the 80's and they are fantastic and this one has always been a cult classic. Not suprising this movie seems to be gaining more steam lately. Love this movie. I just turned 57 and had seen it when it came out in May of 1989 a few times. Had the DVD for a long time and it's very cool that it's been given at least a Blu-Ray release. Even cooler to find out they recently married. Now if only Gillian and Duchovny...

My favorite movie of all-time. When I watch it, it takes me to another place. I talked to Steve De Jarnatt on Facebook a few years ago and I’ll never forget that. I told him I wanted Miracle Mile to be played for me on my deathbed (when the time comes) and I meant it. Also I asked him if Harry was dreaming, he said harry wasn’t dreaming 😁

Highly recommend this movie. It is ultimately fairly dark but I think for the budget and they captured the era of Nuclear anxiousness extremely well.

Loved the movie and both of these actors are just stellar! Edwards is so under rated and Winningham has that little girl lost quality. For all the bad press...I enjoyed the film totally. The special effects were limited...but the exposition was sort of interesting. All in all ...a win for me. Great escapism for 1988...thanks for the overview.

Wow, I had no idea the eloped after knowing each other 35 years! and both staring in this movie together, weird. I keep coming back to this movie over and over, I missed it when it first came out but it was meant for my generation. To me is isn't about the apocalypse but how people react to impeding doom. There are also so many funny and qwerky moments and the cast of characters that where so non chantly put together, making is kinda like a David Linklater film before his films. I also think this will happen eventually IRL, we are really headed toward this maybe very soon. Sorry to be so morbid but we're living in very scary and declining culture that is on the precipice of collapse.

Sure the actors lived on but the characters succumbed to their asbestos pond tar lake nuclear warhead diamond forming inevitability. Carpe diem yolo. Rip goose.
