His record was already a bit sus, this loss was his third in a row after Stipe and Mitrione IIRC (nothing to be ashamed of) and he'd lost to Schaub and JDS already. He was already inconsistent, but after this fight he totally lost it.

In both the fights with Gonzaga and Randleman, it is interesting to note that all finishes came by way one would expect the loser of each respective fight to normally win by. Cro Cop vs Randleman 1: Randleman the grappler drops Cro Cop the kickboxer and finishes him with GnP. Cro Cop vs Randleman 2: Cro Cop submits Randleman vi guillotine. Cro Cop vs Gonzaga 1: Gonzaga the unsophisticated caveman scores one of the cleanest headkick KO's ever seen in MMA over the guy known for his devastating headkicks. Cro Cop vs Gonzaga 2: The technically sophisticated Cro Cop tenderizes Grugzaga with GnP to claim his revenge. It's like they got Freaky Friday'd every time they went out to fight each other.

Well Kevin Randleman was a Freak.. Strong and very Fast for a Heavyweight so Cro Cop wasn't prepared in the first fight because Randleman mostly wrestled. Same with the Gonzaga Fight. He was a Beast in his Prime and is definitely Top Ten MMA Fighter out there.

Brutal revenge.Also he never lost a rematch against anyone he always got revenge but this was more brutal then head kick that finished Wanderlei that was one highkick this was mauling.

I dont think Mr. Filipovic found Mr. Gonzagas elbow strikes in their first fight amusing. This is a highly motivated Mr. Filipovic. Prolly my top 3 MMA fighters of all time.

Watched Pride, Dream, Bellator, WEC, Vale Tudo, RINGS, UFC and pretty much every other pro promotion over the past 20-25 years and I think its safe to say that for me, I think this is the top most savage moment in all of MMA history. This wasnt a mismatch or a nasty injury. Just a highly trained heavy weight who got pissed.

@@renatopalma9074 No such thing as a lucky hit in combat sports dude. Gonzaga had crocop weary of the takedown and took advantage of it with the roundhouse kick. Plus he inflicted pretty heavy damage on crocop when he was on the ground. It's called strategy dude, just because it happened to your favorite fighter doesn't mean you get to chalk it up to "luck".

I watched Gonzaga ko Crocop with a kick that came out of nowhere then Shane Carwin knocked Gonzaga out and Randy Coture took him out with an unintentional headbutt. Lol. Glad to see Crocop get some revenge here
