They will also put bands on flyers that were never even booked. The funny thing is if you go to the U.K. and fans spit on you it's a sign they like you. Doesn't make sense but it's true.

sounds quite fake really. saying "my uncle" holds as much weight as saying a friend of a friend of my 2nd brother in law. altough it does make sense that graves would not like south america

At that time, unfortunately there was a bad tradition of spitting on artists...because they liked it and it was a (rather twisted) way of showing appreciation. It happened not only to the Misfits, but to a wide variety of artists who arrived in Chile during the 90s and early 2000s, starting with Kreator, and later extending to bands like Slayer (whose vocalist was born in Chile), Iron Maiden, of which he is still there are videos of Bayley very angry in the middle of the show and Chino Moreno from Deftones who touched him twice, what's more, with Moreno the spitting ended in 2001. However, there are artists who seemed to enjoy this strange custom, such as Marilyn Manson and Mike Patton from Faith No More, who to this day have a special bond with the country, becoming part of our culture.
