Interesting note on cot straps. I have a 1944 cot. And it has od straps. Maybe earlier cots had white straps.

I have come across the odd OD cot strap in my time, which could account for those off straps that don't look white in photos. They could of course be dirty, stained, or in folds of the trousers causing shadows, but some do look something other that white. So this could account for it.

I know that guy. His name is Roz... great guy! He knows his paratrooper impression and normally does 82nd 505th with me. The interviewer is Greg Wong, and he was an active real life Paratrooper of the 82nd Airborne 504th. He used to reenact 82nd WW2 but I don't think he does it anymore, does more modern stuff now. This video is pretty old.

BTW, mate that Jeep belongs to the 9th Infantry Division. The guy that's driving it, Matt is the owner and unit leader of the 9th ID Both the 9th and the 82nd 505th are part of an organization called HUSC (Historical Unit of Southern California). Ok mate, nice seeing you again!
