It was a terrifying day for parents in North Tonawanda, when two children wandered off into the woods. But that horror turned into immense relief when officers located the kids and brought the home.

3 yrs olds playing alone outside??? extremely dangerous.
@Eszra8 жыл бұрын
+s mast True, but had the parents put up a fence it wouldn't have happened. I remember a story about a family member that let their niece who was three play in the backyard. After an hour they child was missing. They were terrified. After 20 minutes of searching the mother came home to their sibling in a panic about to call the cops when the mom walked outside opened up the play house in the backyard and found the little girl asleep inside. The moms sibling never checked the play house and it never crossed their minds how the girl could have got out of a locked vinyl fence and bolted doors in the house, had they called their sister it would have been solved 20 minutes earlier. Same thing if these kids had a fenced in backyard they wouldn't have got lost in the first place.
@aanon57168 жыл бұрын
+Eszra i understand what your saying about a fence but even that is not enough precaution for a 3 yr old. someone could come abduct them, a vicious dog could jump the fence, they could choke on something & there is no one present to see or hear...all these scenarios have already happened to children. children THAT young still need CONSTANT supervision.
@Eszra8 жыл бұрын
s mast Oh completely need supervision, I'm huge on it, but a six foot fence would be difficult to climb be it human or dog personally.

This happened to me with my two year old. She went out the door when I was tending to laundry and when I came back she was gone. I was 8 months pregnant and had my 3 and 5 year old with me. I was running through the neighborhood screaming in a storm. She was missing about 30 minutes. She had walked to the bus stop where I had previously picked up my 5 year old. My husband was deployed to Afghanjstan and all I could think was no, I can't tell him our baby is gone. I had the neighbor call the sheriff as I was running. It will always be the scariest moment of my life. But when people were screaming they saw her I ran as fast as my 8 month belly could go. I ran and fell to my knees in front of her and she just hugged me. Lifetime movie moment.

i don't get why comments are hateful. those parents love their kids. there's no rulebook on parenting. we're all trying to do our best.
@laraantipova3892 жыл бұрын
I’m not trying to be hateful, but 3 year olds need an appropriate care giver. You can’t just leave 3 year olds outside. There is no 3 year old mature enough to fend for themselves. I hope the parents learned to watch their kids. I have a neighbor that does this and it’s terrifying
@mmmuuuuuuuuiiiiiiiiirrrrr2 жыл бұрын
I know. Listen to that little girl. She has an appropriate caregiver. Kids don't sound like that when no one is caring for them properly. ANYONE'S kids could wander off. The world USED TO accept that. Now, parents are attacked from every angle instead of helped and supported.

That is a HORRIBLE feeling. My oldest boy ran off when he was 3 (he was forever doing that! I couldn't take my eyes off of him!) But THIS day I thought he was with daddy and daddy thought he was with ME! We finally found him 3 blocks away talking to an elderly gentleman on some street! He had crossed 3 intersections! When my daughter was about 8 her and another child from school wandered off from school and ended up many miles away in bushland. Thank you dear LORD FATHER as they were found by two doctors, a married couple who also were bushwalking that day. I was absolutely beside myself and I’m soo grateful to those lovely people that both my daughter and her friend were brought back safely.

I feel sorry for Madeleine McCann's parents. If this is what these people were like after their child had been missing for less than a day, imagine what it would be like if your child was missing for 8 years! I hope that Madeleine is still alive and well today x If she was abducted to order, the people that had/have her probably won't know that she's been kidnapped. It must be unbearable, I lost my little brother Jake for around 5 minutes in a supermarket and I was so scared, I knew that people like this exist and that something bad could happen within that 5 minutes that he was missing. We were only a short distance away from the actual entrance to the shop, about 2 minutes away, so if someone had taken him, they would be able to lead him out of the shop and get him into a car and drive a fair way away from the shop. I found him after maybe around 9-10 minutes of shouting his name along with my parents and his older brother (my younger brother) and he shouted back. Thank god we found him before anything did happen to him. He is 9 and this happened just after his birthday. He is still 9 and I am 11 as I was when this happened. We are all the same age and I have since told them not to talk to suspicious looking people, and not to approach strangers unless it is a police officer or a fireman or something like that. I also told them that if someone you don't know/do know but don't trust approaches you and tells you to go with them, DON'T. THIS IS NOT A GOOD SIGN AND IF THIS HAPPENS RUN AWAY AND SHOUT FOR HELP! The lesson is, do NOT let your children/siblings out of your sight in a public place, such as a playground. We have given them phones and I got my first one when I was around 9/10, with a tracking device on it. We are told to stick together and are not allowed out of our house unless we have a trusted adult with us. We have two dogs which have attacked people (not hurting them but scaring them) that have come withing 6 feet of us. PARENTS: TELL YOUR CHILDREN WHAT I TOLD MY BROTHERS AT A YOUNG AGE SO THAT THEY KNOW WHAT TO DO!! TEACH THEM WHAT TO DO IF ANYONE TRIES TO ABDUCT THEM!!!! SCREAM, KICK PUNCH, BITE IF THEY PUT YOUR HAND OVER YOUR MOUTH. GIVE THEM A CODE WORD SO IF ANYONE APPROACHES THEM SAYING "Your parents have sent me to pick you up," TELL THEM TO ASK THEM FOR THE CODE WORD! MAKE IT A WORD LIKE BLIZZARD OR FROZEN OR OREGON SO THAT IT WON'T BE EASY TO GUESS! This has happened to me and my brother was grabbed but I kicked that man where it hurts (men know where i'm talking about) and grabbed my brother and ran. I had a key to my mum's house which was where we were going and we ran quickly there and locked ourselves in with our dogs. My brother had a few scratches, a couple bruises but he was okay in general, plasters, antiseptic and he was fine. I told him what I am now passing onto you to tell your parents/siblings/children, and he has since kept that in mind when walking home from school. I have a 5 minute walk from my school to the train station and waiting for thre train and you know the rest and I always keep that in mind. If a suspicious character comes too close for comfort, you must do what I have said here, grab them and RUN! If they sit next to you on public transport, MOVE!! I think you're getting what I'm saying (or at least I hope so) and will take this in mind when in public with younger siblings/children. There are sickos out there and they will target younger children. In public, make sure you can always see them, make them walk in front of you like my parents do. I always hold one of our dogs, so i can tell them to attack somebody/something that comes too close to us. THIS IS A LIFE LESSON AND YOU SHOULD TELL THE SCHOOL TO PROMOTE THIS MESSAGE TO CHILDREN OF ALL AGES: STAY CLOSE TO YOUR PARENTS/OLDER SIBLINGS IN PUBLIC!! Anyway, I think this is too long, so :3 BAII

My daughter and niece are only 3 weeks apart and when they were 3 one morning my nieces dad woke me up at 6:30AM telling me both girls were not in the house and couldn’t find them. I jumped up and when I ran out front I could see them both in the parking lot of the corner store which was 4 houses down. When I ran down there they had a fistful of pennies and said they were going to buy candy. Neither one never tried opening the doors or playing with the locks until that day that we know of. Well after that day the doors were like Fort Knox. Very Scary.

HypeTv100 kids can be gone in a second. Especially curious children. They just start walking! Doesn't mean bad parenting!

Miss Robin Martz yhea right you are the problem thinking like that kids should never be left alone unsupervised specially a 3 years old for not even a second
@robinmartz90529 жыл бұрын
+HypeTv100 there is no reason for you to be nasty. I guess YOU don't have kids? Sounds like someone who has no experience with kids.

+Miss Robin Martz Excuse me? They are absolutely right. Let me guess, you aren't a parent either? SOOO??? I wouldn't let my little brother outisde alone in a heart beat. Do you not realize what kinda of people are out there these days?

So where were the parents. Three year olds on their own?

You look like a grandma, no empathy? Never had any child in your life out of your sight? How do you sleep watching children all night? Do you go to school with them too? How do you drive? Please tell me because you are obviously the perfect parent..... Unless you're just a lonely old lady, just replace "child/children" with "cats".

nya:węh I could have so much fun with you. I eat people like u for breakfast. Putting all those sentences together like a grown up. aww bless. Now go take some selfies dear.

These days im amazed parents still DARE to leave their small children out of their sight. Even 5 minutes can be fatal. Too many perverts out there waiting for the perfect moment to take your child. Take care of them please!

It’s the ugliest feeling when u don’t see your kids, then when u see them again for those lost 3 seconds it’s the biggest relief ever! U think the worst of worse for those 3 seconds

I wish all parents felt this way about their child. (Children) if only the parents were watching them closer, you have to.

You cannot can NOT leave any children unsupervised especially while outdoors and capability of wandering off or strangers wandering in....this is just scarey and happens to us all and in an instant things can go very badly...they are babies with the ability to unlock wander follow and climb to open crawl into under and over anything..this is a curious age...thank the Universe for this speedy recovery...awesome work guys!

I'm the father of the little girl. We have a fence. She was 2 doors over, supposedly being babysat by the boy's mother. Pay attention to her version, not the bullshit in your own heads. Thanks. Thank God she's a beautiful little survivor who's growing out of the trauma.

I was 3 years old and wandered alone into a wood near home. But my luck was: a young woman find on my way to the wood and bring me to the next police-station. Happy end. Like in this video. Great!

That little girl is so adorable thank god they were found safe and sound with no harm done. I have a little sister her age and I couldn't imagine having her go missing. I would search day and night and if I found out someone took her id hunt them down and make sure they'd be punished the right way.
