I recently got this box of Mission Gold Class Watercolors paints. I couldn't wait to open them and use the, but first I had to get them into a palette and swatch out some colors. I've done that here.
In addition to this, I hope to do a few comparisons between these paints and my Holbein Paints and also my M. Graham paints. Look for those coming soon.

I really love my mission gold paints. When I first tried to use them I didn’t so much, but now that I’ve sort of developed a style of painting, they work quite nicely with it. I want one of the pure pigment sets but I may just slowly acquire the pigments used in the one in other brands.

The pure pigment set would be interesting to try, but there is so much to enjoy about these paints the way they are.

Watercolors With Michael I think the main reason I want the pure pigment set is for some of the specific colors, and the fact that I really do enjoy the mission gold paints. You do have a point about enjoying them the way they are, though. I may make it a point to use the mission gold paints I have before I get another set.

Thanks Michael! I got a set of Mission paints for Christmas, as well... I just had a very cheap set of Dailer Rowney before... I can’t believe the difference! Cheers!

Yay, so glad you have the same palette as I do now. I'm looking forward to seeing what capabilities these pigments have that maybe I haven't unlocked yet. I struggle with knowing what colors to use for shading/shadows. I'm so excited for a live stream with these!!!! That red brown and peacock blue are my faves from this set and I agree on the indigo, blah. I think most of the pigments look better mixed with another because of their intensity but I guess that depends on the subject matter. Cheers! See ya Wednesday!

I'm going to be using this palette for a while to really get the feel for the colors. Most of them are distinctly different than my M. Grahams. See you wednesday. I'll be using these.

I feel like the indigo could be useful for shadows or storm clouds, depending.

Fun watching ... are you aware of having two vocal tracks overlaid during the last minute or so?

I wish you would invest in some studio lights. Amazon has several that are reasonably priced.

Lynne Mohr I’m guessing what you personally actually wish for is to have your need to see what’s going on met. How that is achieved is not important. Did you try turning up the brightness on your display? Maybe you are a micromanager and your need is to tell people what to do?

I have the Neewer set of professional LED lights. Very reasonably prices, and I'm very happy with them
