While the most popular backpack, that people usually buy, to build as BOB, is the most overated, this, is the most underated backpack on the market! It's really unbelievable, what marketing can do these days. This is a 2.15 Kg bpack, that in hand, feels like 1.2 and on shoulders, feels like it is 0.5 Kg. Which means, it carries heavy loads, like no other I have seen! Even the YKK zippers, feel and work much better on this backpack, than any other ΥΚΚ I have used. This can be an outdoor, a hiking, a soldiers...an any Mission backpack! Thank you sir, for this review. You literally gave it the presentation and the time it deserved!

Great review! Backpacked quite a bit, and the first thing I thought of when I saw the strap in the rain cover pouch was for water! If you have a hydration flask in the backpack and you hang it upside down, you can use it to dispense water for cooking and such. Again, good review!

The "webbing " in the raincover compartment is a second handle - used to rescue a person "on" the rucksack sitting ( rescue handle - no weapon fixation! ). You can find it on all past Mission Pack models

Brilliant, thanks for this. I thought it may be for that however it's the placement in the zip pocket. If you needed to grab a buddy fast and pull the out of a situation, having to unzip the pocket it an extra step. It's not a game changer 😂 it's an amazing bag. Have a great week

@@MoorlanderEDC I can resolve this debate about the handle in the ruck cover pouch that seems to mystify everyone. It's to hold your Gore-Tex ( rain gear ), and military poncho with the woobie liner. You are going to mostly be going for that ruck cover and rain gear at the same time, when it starts to rain. When the weather clears and you stow them, all of your wet stuff is in the same pouch ( lined, most likely, with a waterproof coating/fabric ). Since the rain gear is kinda stuffed and crammed in there, your Gore-Tex and poncho with the woobie will all be held in place at the front of the compartment, so you can quickly don them and keep you ( your most important "item" ) from getting soaked before you worry about the ruck, and still do it all rather quickly

The two handles at the bottom are in fact ski slots. It's an old 80-90's Backpack design. A couple of Backpack made by ARVA (FR) and Aiguille Alpine Equipment (UK) are still made with these slots. The ski is slipped from above, the back of the shoe fixation of the ski being blocked by the tough slots (there's webbing inside because ski edges are sharp), and you use the top compression strap to hold the top of the ski.

Great review. It was very visible how much you love this rucksack and i enjoyed watching it :) You seem to be a very authentic guy. Mission Pack MK II: With so many places and pouches to keep your gear, Tasmanian Tiger should really offer a rucksack navigation app. 37 liter would be too much for my purposes, maybe i add the TT Essential Pack 15 Liter somewhen later, but first TT has to add more IRR stuff (like the bottle pouches.) On the other hand, your description of the support system/yoke was convincing to look for a slightly bigger TT rucksack with the same system. I‘m bought a TT Essential Pack 9 Liter stone-grey IRR and some extra pouches a year ago. Was planned as a 3-day-pack or for bugout. I also have two older Source Commander 5 (coyote and black) as daypacks. All three have a 3l-Bladder from Source and pretty identical gear stuffed in. Even some UK gear 😁 Best Thomas

Hey Thomas, thank you for the kind words buddy. The suspension system is the same through the Mission and Modular models, and lens itself to a lot of adjustment to make sure it's just right. Those crazy German engineers know to make a top pack for sure 😄 and I wouldn't have expected any less. The Mission pack would make an epic 72 hour bug out/get home style bag. I'd love to see what youo created if you did pull one together. Have a great Easter Weekend buddy

Has anyone figured out how to attach a sleeping bag on the outside since the tt mission pack mkII doesn't have lash straps on or near the bottom of the bag? Would clipping it on the side hold (I'm skeptical)? Great review btw!
@MoorlanderEDC
@MoorlanderEDC 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, you could definitely attach more to the sides. The compression straps open up quite a bit to help out. I'd also get some grimlocks to fasten on to the PALS section for extra security with some webbing. It's a real shame the bottom lashing points are missing. they missed a trick there. Have the pack now since XMas (BTW Happy New Year!). It is great for distributing all my EDC Stuff over my Bag and have a much flatter pack than before. The adjustment ist also great for me (1.9m tall, 110kg), only the hip belt had to go, because their was no way of getting the pack low enough to properly use it. Except for all the main features (all addressed in the Video) I love to details the most: 1. All Pockets etc are great for "flinging" the pack under my left arm to my chest, gicing me full access to everything, without having to completly take off the pack 2. The rubber bands the hold all the excess bands and straps from the adjustable parts are worth gold! I love them so much, that I currently am researching on how to upgrade all my existing Packs with rubber bands like them. Thank you for "making me buy" this back pack!

Thanks for the amazing review! This bag looks almost perfect for my needs--as a commenter said already, I wish there are compression straps, PALS webbing or lashing points at the bottom though to give that extra ability to add more gear at the bottom. With regards to your point on carrying your tripod at the center, it seems that the Kifaru Sherman Pocket might be attachable to the front of the bag--apart from acting as an overflow/beaver tail system, it can fold down to allow you to bring long things such as your tripod. I do wish the zippers go down jussstttt a little bit more to make them clamshell opening! Do you know if there are any lash points at the top of the bag, near the handle? I can't seem to find really good pictures of that part of the bag. That would allow for more things to be lashed on to the bag.

Hi Wwinger, sorry I missed your comment. The Mission is limited to the pouches on the side. The side panel has only got two columns of PALs. If you stick to pouches with three columns of PALs you're on to a winner. Most of TT's new pouches have adopted the 4 column layout. Helikon Tex do some really nice 3 column pouches as do Hazard 4. I hope that helps ✌️ thanks for watching

You don't carry a rifle on the bag in the military. You're ready to go 24/7 and its your baby if your life depends on it. The hand strap in the lower compartment with the waterproof cover, i cant think of a reason for a hand strap there in that compartment unless your in arctic conditions hauling a gear sled maybe. Then you want to pull a sled low and not high up lifting the sled up with every step and wasting energy. Its a strap reinforced around the hip for pulling sleds, that is my best guess. But i would think you would take a larger packside if your out there. It's a weird feature.

@@MoorlanderEDC Cool bro. I like your review video's because you actually test products. It's not just an 3 minute review, look there's a zipper here and a pocket there without ever testing the product. I can see that stuff in the pictures on a product page. I also loved your comparison video of the 30 liter and 37 liter tt pack and you take the time so share what you think about both packs. You took the time to test and review it properly. I'll take the time to respond and share my views. And together you create a nice channel where you can find honest information. I've seen in a description on 1 website today about this backpack, it has 'emergency handles'. I'm not sure how that is intended to work of if they are just making stuff up. I think in an emergency, i'm not gonna open a zipper, maybe under fire, to look for a handle in a compartment with also a rain cover. I would just drag my buddy to safety by a shoulder strap(probably the strongest part of the bag). And not drag him by his leg face first on the ground or sideways grabbing a strap around the waist. I would go for the upper body so a shoulder strap. Maybe you can contact the company why there is a handle in this pack in a low compartment at waist height? I'm very interested in their answer to solve this mystery. 👍
