When I was in my twenties I got busted for drugs n had to move back home with my parents! And I had a job that I had to drive my daddy van! And this cassette was stuck in the cassette player! It help me get through a very rough time of shame! God brought me out n I never dealt with drugs again! Thank you Jesus!

I come from Earle, Arkansas and I know what it's like to be poor. We went to bed hungry a lot of nights. We had pinto beans every night for dinner, except on the weekends we had fried chicken or spaghetti. Once in a while we had pork on holidays. But we knew God and He was GREAT to us. He brought us a mighty long way. I was sick and momma said the doctor told her there was nothing else He could do for me. So, she took me to the Pastor and he prayed for me and God healed me!!! Thank you God, our Father in Heaven, Holy is His name, Jesus and the Holy Ghost!!

This song speaks to me. Grew up in a three room house, not a three bedroom room house but a three room house. Outhouse in the back, and a water pump to get water for the dishes and to drink. I remember my grandaddy telling me he was in a choir but it slipped my mind...I'll never forget on our way to Wal-Mart I was changing stations going back n fwd and I got to 95.7 I said im just gone keep it on here... I remember my grandmother dancing to this song back in the day. She'll be turning 90 this year. She was born in 1930 so I know she can relate to this song. I bet if I played it now she would get up and cut a rug.

Classic!! 💪💪 The reason I learned 2 play guitar @ age 14.. I can remember breaking in my pops room while they was at work getting his guitar and sitting by the radio trying to add lib on every song that came on lol.. Pops beat me Everytime he caught me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 then one day he said boi here u go.. u can have it.. u sound waaaaay better then me lmao and I start playing at church and this Particular Song "Poor Family" was the 1st church song my Big Cuz Rulon Powers back in Alabama taught me how to play.. and he is apart of the reason why I still play 4 churchs today 🤞😎
