During our first trip to the Philippines, we stayed at a 5-star hotel in Manila and we're taking you with us! Edsa Shangri-La turned out to be one of the most quiet places we slept while traveling. Their staff was also very welcoming and attentive. The hotel also has a couple restaurants, including the buffet we showed you in the previous video. The lobby lounge and spa had a majestic display of lighting fixtures. Some looked like a waterfall of stars! Watch the full video for the hotel tour ⭐

Shangri-la Hotel is connected to Shangri-la Mall. SM Megamall is like 5 mins walk from the Hotel. 😊

@@michaelt334 From the hotel’s main entrance to Megamall’s Hypermarket entrance I think it’s safe to walk at night because you literally just have to cross a road.. If you want to go to Shangri-la mall there is a connecting bridge so you don’t need to go out of the hotel.

1:52 - The side of that table can actually be opened like a drawer, so you can use the plates and utensils inside. I think it’s really cool, because you can use it when you decide to eat takeouts inside yout room. I know this, because I’ve had my fair share of staycations at Edsa Shang.😉👉

For me i prefer okada manila,solaire resort,sofitel manila, city of dreams manila and shangrila the fort in BGC are the best luxury hotel in the Philippines

most of the textures in the hotel is also nature textures just like this part 1: 59 that wooden textures are also shown up in handmade chairs that is made of wood and Filipinos love nature textures especially our Filipino house which most people in the Philippines have is a nipa hut. :)

The Philippines has a large Korean population as well, and I've heard they also have top quality street (according to Drew Binsky)

Not large but there is definitely an increase through the years. Koreans tend to study in universities in the ph to improve their English or most of them travel to the southern islands to experience the tropical life. Not many migrate but you can see some occasional Koreans here or there.

I studied Hotel and Restaurant Management and I was one of the chosen scholar student of Edsa Shangri-la Hotel so my training was in Edsa Shangri-la Hotel and I know for a fact Quality is a MUST for this hotel.

Welcome to the PHILIPPINES. KIndly try Baguio City, in northern Luzon. Considered the "Summer Capital of the Philippines". There are many Korean expats living there. Many hotels, hostels, inns, trasient houses. Cool during summer, freezing during Dec. up to early Feb. HAPPY TRIP!!!

I love Makati Shangri la. And the Shangri la in the fort in BGC is just so modern. The top hotels in Manila all have this textrure craze bacause they promote the Native Materials and patterns of the Philippines.

Halo halo is the best. If you dare, try balut. It's such a massage that you gotta say it twice! Actually some spa menus write it as Hilot Massage. I was not aware "hilot" means "massage." Thanks to you and fellow viewers, I'm learning Filipino words a little by little 😄

Nope.., Hilot means ancient Filipino art of Healing. Hilot use in many ways and one of it is massage.

If I were in the Philippines and asked my grandma to hilot me, she will massage me or vise versa. What you described sounds like something you’d find on Wikipedia. It’s all good tho 👍🏼

Hilot usually refers to a medical massage. Although it's not scientifically backed. Where i'm from, we say "hilot" as a massage to fix something for our body, not really for relaxation. And we say "masahe" for the conventional, relaxing massage

The design and decoration of the hotel is very similar to Balinese style, especially the entrance to the spa. Nothing wrong with that, just mentioning.
