I highly advise you do what Mina does bring all our expensive electronics as a carry on! I was on a flight to Hanoi and when I finally got my luggage back my iPad and Nintendo DS were missing :(

Also a thing to keep in mind, instead of abandoning clothes just because they have holes in them, repairing them! Unless the hole is really big and very visible (which mostly isn't the case), you can sew the fabric back together. It really just takes a needle and some matching string (which doesn't take up alot of space), and you can easily hand sew it.

When I went to China with my mom she brought a ton of stuff. After seeing no elevators we realized it was a huge mistake.

Microfiber towels are really a must have! We bought 2 for going to Iceland and they were perfect. Especially since towels dry super slow with the cold weather

Those Korean facial masks are quite popular in Canada, BC, so when Koreans moved here they brought their business of selling these facial masks and at least some malls here have at least one store selling Korean skin care and the deals on these masks are awesome! Pick 10 packets for $10 or other deals and they have an English Canadian/American website as well.

Nail polish is a liquid and so are make up products like foundation, mascara, liquid concealer and lip gloss , they all need to be packed with liquids if you carry them through TSA/customs, you should only carry 1 litre in total so using tiny bottles ,jars and spray bottles and solid items of toiletries is best for packing light and right! i am surprised you didn't use packing cubes as they are a life changer for packing, you should try using flat make up and toiletry bags as they take up less volume than that bulky one you used, all bags should be as thin as possible and the cubes compress the clothing so that takes up less room and also makes it easy to organise too.

My tolietry bag is simiar to yours and I love mine. It fits a ton, but doesn't take a ton of space in the luggage. mine is from Amazon as well.
