For the next three nights, we're staying at a historic landmark tucked away in over 300 acres of forest and it's only a 30-minute drive from Seattle! The building was originally completed in 1931 and operated as a seminary for about 45 years. When the seminary closed in 1976, the building sat empty for 45 years.
Upon decades of deterioration, the property went through a $57 million restoration. While preserving its history, the building transformed into a luxury boutique hotel called The Lodge with a restaurant, spa, two bars and an art gallery. There’s also a gymnasium where you can play pickleball! The Lodge also hosts weekly yoga classes, live music, afternoon high tea, weddings, corporate meetings and more.
To learn more about The Lodge at St Edward Park and planning your stay: www.thelodgeatstedward.com/
Thanks to The Lodge for hosting our stay and sponsoring this video! We hope you enjoy our tour of this historical landmark. I visited The Lodge twice before for fun (once for lunch and once for cocktails) before this collaboration. Thrilled to sleepover on this third visit and share the extensive tour! As someone with gut health issues, my relationship with food quickly turned into an anxiety-ridden experience. So I love watching Mina and her mom enjoying diverse dishes that I probably could never eat! It's therapeutic and motivates me to take better care of my health. I have no choice but to ask if you take any probiotics or incorporate any probiotic-rich foods into your daily meals? Do you easily digest every meal you have during your travels?! That's amazing!

Oooh great questions! Now everyone's body is different, so I can only speak for mine. I often eat kimchi. The one from Costco by Jongga has been pretty good so far. Sometimes I'll have it right out of the container to go with my main dish. Or cook it and make fried kimchi quinoa. When I'm traveling I tend to eat more adventurous and indulge in a wider range of foods. At home I reduce eating fried foods and anything too sugary (basically eat less of things that make me feel tired). Overall I try to listen to what my body is telling me. If I don't feel good after eating something, I'll take note and eat less of it in the future (or none at all depending on the situation). Also EXERCISE is huge!! Helps with digestion, relieving stress, boosting the mood, etc. Even if I eat "healthy" (since health means something different to every person and body), if I don't exercise, I start feeling depressed and have slow digestion. No matter what I eat, exercise makes life so much better in many ways. Also the timing and quantity of what is eaten can play a part. There's no one factor usually. There's so much to say about food and health. Also many opinions since everyone's health journey can vary so much. But I hope this helps you somehow!

The nature trail with its ancient trees, multiple beaches on Lake Washington, and oyster mushrooms seemed fun to hike and explore. Andre Feriante plays fantastic Spanish guitar! Thanks for the tour! I went to an open-market; this Thursday. My mountain-bicycle’s front wheel clamp sinched on me; mid-pounce! The screw at the end-cover, cracked completly and my front wheel confused me landing flat. I thought the clamp just got jiggled and went loose! Nope! The whole screw at the end-cover broke clean. I’m hoping those ‘REI-CO-OP’ mountain-bicycles start upgrading their density on the wheel-clamp screws! They’re such a dependable ride, and very exciting to ride everyday. And I mean, every single day. No matter what weather, the ‘REI-CO-OP’ mountain-bicycle; specifically the DRT models; are to me my go-to bicycle when living in an urban town. The maintenance is very limited and they can take a beating. Like a accidental drop on it’s side barely winces the whole bicycle. It’s very durable, and the ‘KENDA’ tires are extremely responsive on flat and groovy surfaces. I don’t recommend the bicycle to just anybody, because I don’t know when I’m going to come across another instance of technical-difficulties totaling the whole bicycle itself and I want all the CO-OP bicycles to myself; just in case I come across another wear-and-tear infraction. It sucks not having the correct size of bicycle, that’s why! I’m greedy for my bicycle! I like it! I don’t want a car! I want to one day purchase a dual-suspension worth more than $1,000 US dollars so I can attract the attention of criminals; they try to sabotage MY bicycle, and let karma catch up with them and infect the ears of people willing to hear their allabys. They’re great… the bicycles… them… those things… the bicycles… the bicycles, from ‘REI’ are great. I was totally ready to move it or lose it when my bicycle gave in from under me. I don’t wear knee-pads and elbow-pads, so I don’t try unusual maneuvers not intended for children to run away scared from. I ride my ability and level, and stay easy on the breaks; even downhill. It’s fun! It keeps me busy and grounded with my surroundings and environment. I’m not using over $10,000 US dollars just to levitate unknowingly everywhere a road can take me. Cars are easy to drive, but breaking away from using mobile-private-property automobiles is hard to get started on riding a bicycle fluently and be willing to die to stay on the bicycle and learn to survive properly in an environment that would run over squirrels. It’s not sad if you die from being killed by a monster-automobile, at least those dead squirrels didn’t die in vain. With the loss of one dead bicyclist as many as 200; maybe more; squirrel-souls stop playing in front of heavens gates and prance right through the bars, where they can get hefty and fat off of berries and milk they’ve never tried before.
