In The United States we call the first year of marriage, "The Honeymoon Year" 😊 A delightful time for the couple to get to know one another and discover the fullness of marriage. An older cousin of mine told me of a conversation he had many years ago with my late mother. He asked her what attracted she and my father to each other. They came from two very different backgrounds. She said, "You have to have someone you can talk to." Trudy, you and Maya remind me of those words. My mom also told me that Dad was the head of the family and she was the head of the household. They trusted and respected one another.
