I remember her saying that she lived with her Mom and sisters, NO bathroom, dirt poor. She writes, raps, sings, produces, etc. She is her own come up, deserves all the respect in the world. As gorgeous as she looks today, her weight loss partially came from her being sickness, she still pulls through.

Missy Elliot is more than deserving of being in the Hall of Fame! I remember the summer of 1997 being 12 years old and listening to "The Rain" (Supa Dupa Fly) and just falling in love with Missy and her style of rapping. It's an honor to have grown up in the era of Missy Elliot!
