For those of you who missed my performance of ‘Carry You’ with Tim Minchin tonight on Channel 9, here ‘tis! This was weird and lovely. I didn’t have much to make my living room look fancy so those are little father Christmas tree lights behind me, and I decided to wear my wedding dress for the occasion. Not sure why! I’ve just been looking for an opportunity to wear it again. Everything’s a bit topsy-turvy at the moment, so why not. Thank you to Tim for this beautiful song, I love singing it, and please catch his series ‘Upright’ on Foxtel if you can, it is truly brilliant. Thanks for having us be involved everyone at Channel 9 and everyone else involved in Music From The Home Front, for Anzac Day.

I think he is totally overlooked just because he’s written some funny songs with swear words. But Tim is genuinely one of the best songwriters around.

A Tim Minchin show is the musical equivalent of the Simpsons: sucks you in with the funny, and the cynical, and the vicious, biting satire, but then when your guard is down, will come out of left field and punch you right in the heart. And if you don’t get the Simpsons analogy, remember “do it for her” and “I’m sorry Lisa”. Stealth feels are the most devastating feels.

On this day 17 years ago my best friend closed his eyes and left this earth. I didn't think it would take this long for someone to write a song about my feelings for all those years. Just watched Tim's live concert and this is the last song he played. No-one could have expressed it better than Missy. A true classic written and performed by the most talented Australian artists there are.

Real music, real songwriting... seams to be a losing war depending g where your ears turn, this is epic level. No auto tune and loops and ganstas. Aussieland has a lot of talent to be proud of, and more to come if we inspire and teach them they will lead the way

This song came to me on ABC radio some time in January this year...and it has taken me on an incredibly emotional journey since then. Before this, both Tim Minchin and Missy Higgins were musicians that I had heard of and heard but were way beyond what I have been listening too all my life...but this song has hit me hard. And hard in a positive way. UPRIGHT is the best thing I have seen in years. This song is the best thing I have heard in years.

This song brings healing . My brother died of cancer in SA and I couldn’t get to see him before he died . ....COVID restrictions from WA . It was heartbreaking . This song heals my heartache a lot ❤️🦋
