I love Sheldon indirectly picking up on Mary’s coddling. While he isn’t wrong, I completely agree it was never with the intention of restraining him, but rather more selfishly refusing to let go of her son. I understands she’s his mother, but I reckon that Sheldon could’ve achieved some his later feats earlier had Mary been less protective. I don’t understand how Sheldon can be so oblivious to most people disliking him. I always wondered why he had so much development in TBBT but I realise that in that show, he was actually surrounded by people who were like him and actually tried to understand him. Wheares even with his own family, they do anything but try to understand him. Hats off to Leonard, he really saved a brilliant human.

As a German, that episode with Sheldon speaking goofy German all the time was hilarious, I loved that one and was looking forward to it since I knew Cody used to live in Germany and would understand it even better than most xD Can't believe we're so far in already, I'm gonna miss this show so much when it's done!

Young Sheldon was a cool idea and it's been a great show, but I definitely agree, maybe they could bring back Big Bang theory after young Sheldon ends with like a movie or do a short miniseries on the characters and where they are now, because I definitely think it would be interesting to see their kids growing up, the only kids we got to see in the show where Halle and Michael, so it would be really cool to see Penny's son or daughter, we don't know if she had a girl or boy and it would be cool to see Sheldon and Amy's son and just their interactions and their lives now that they all have children, I also feel like Raj really got the short end of the stick when it came to Big Bang theory, as a minority you think they would take more liberties to make him one of the more interesting characters or two give him a happy ending but even Stuart found love and poor Raj didn't, so I think it would be good to wrap up that storyline in some sort of sequel series, obviously young Sheldon is the prequel to Big Bang theory but we also need some sort of sequel, whether it's another show with Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik just living their lives with people like Penny or Leonard and the gang popping in now and again for various different episodes, or it's a full on big bang the sequel, I do think we need some sort of resolution whether it's a mini series, a movie or a new series, whether it's just Sheldon and Amy with the other characters popping in or something with all of them I definitely think that that is something that we need and I think the easiest way to do it would be to do something similar to Gilmore girls or full house, having some sort of short series to wrap things up, Gilmore girls had only four episodes whereas full house had Fuller house, but something that instead of having another 12 seasons could just be like five seasons or a movie or at least one or two seasons with just shorter episodes like 13 episodes a season instead of 20 just wrapping up certain storylines like the stuff with Raj or just showing us what it's like with the kids all grown up because when Penny got pregnant Halle was already like four, so she kinda be like the big sister to pennies child and same with Sheldon and Amy, also would be interesting if Missy is in the show or if it's just the regular gang, I have enjoyed getting to know Sheldon's family in young Sheldon so something that combines both could be good, but I do really miss the Big Bang theory gang, that could just be because I'm re-watching it right now, but I do think something that wraps up certain plot points as well as brings things full circle or gives us a glimpse into what happened after Big Bang theory would be a good idea again maybe something just short and sweet like one season or a movie or some sort of special event type thing that has a short runtime, just to wrap it up, I don't know if a short series would be better or if a movie would, but doing something I think would be the right thing to do just to give us those answersespecially since Big Bang theory was successful enough to get 12 seasons, I would be surprised if they didn't break more milestones by having a short break and then starting new season or starting a new show like with iCarly having the same name but just following on when they were older they could do something similar to that with the Big Bang theory, still having it be the same name but a few years into the future, I don't really know but it would be interesting to see.

i feel like sheldon is honestly only half-complacent with the coddling. The effects of how Mary protected up from the start of this series up to this point is arguably why he thinks he can get his way for any situation both here and throughout the run of the big bang theory. but as we see here, he is also aware that it does limit him, and he takes measures to move more past it, which can also be seen on big bang in his distaste with being “treated like a child.” too bad mary doesn’t really take the hint lmao
