@@KaireemReactions Check out Kevin's personal channel: youtube.com/@kolusola In particular, I recommend his KOver of Marian Hill's version of "Down": kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f62ampRqmM6Yf58.html Apparently Kevin wasn't much of a singer before he joined Pentatonix; he concentrated on his instruments and the beatboxing. But the other members of Pentatonix helped him develop his vocal abilities, so they're very aware of what those abilities are. He doesn't have a huge range the way all of the rest of them do, but his falsetto is gorgeous, and he's quite comfortable singing in it. You might also want to listen to Pentatonix's -cover- upgrade of "Havana." Kevin plays a mean invisible flugelhorn in that one.

I love how Scott throws his arms out when Mitch wails. Most people are enthralled with Mitch, but each member contributes something unique. The sum of the parts is greater than any one member.

The three original songs are from Pentatonix's 2015 self-titled album, their first originals album. The version of "Can't Sleep Love" is a remix of the original studio version, adding the rap section which was originally by rapper Tink. There are also two official videos, one for the original studio version and one with the rap section. I wish instead they'd done an official video for "Water" which is one of my favorite tracks and IMO is criminally underappreciated.

“Can’t Sleep Love” is one of my favorite original PTX song, especially this version with Mitchy rapping, and I love, love, love, “Water.” You’ve now heard three original Pentatonix songs. There are a lot more! A new one is coming out Friday, actually. Try some more! Try “Sing” and “Coffee in Bed” and “Happy Now” and “Be My Eyes!” I also love some that have no video, like “Ref,” “Light in the Hallway,” “Anchor,” “Exit Signs,” and “Never Gonna Cry Again.”

as for the original of cant sleep love, the version with the rap is featuring an artist named Tink. but Im glad mitch took it for popspring. makes it my favorite rendition of this song haha.@@KaireemReactions

I've seen several interviews they've done where they're asked to sing their highest note. It seems to depend on the day of the week as to who ends up singing the highest note - Mitch, Kirstie, or Kevin. It's always surprising to hear just how high Kevin can go in his falsetto, which is the high line you heard in Water and thought was Mitch - not too surprising, as Mitch's highs are so amazing that unless you've heard Kevin's falsetto, you don't even think about him in that kind of situation. One of the good ones to hear Kevin is Imagine, which you've reacted to, so you might want to take another listen to that one and hear how high he can go.

This may be the best reaction I’ve seen to this Can’t Sleep Love rendition!! I’m a Mitch-a-holic, too 👽💜. He is definitely a gift to the world! Their originals are all excellent!! I suggest Coffee in Bed, Happy Now and Be My Eyes. You MUST watch their Aha official video and THEN the live version from the Star Vista in Singapore. It is the ultimate of all ultimate Mitch-slaps. 🤯😁

All of these are so fun and are originals (expect for the Evolution of Michael Jackson one)!! Water is one of my favorites! I think you're ready for the ultimate Mitch slap now. It's the live version of Aha at The Star Vista, Singapore. The audio isn't the best so it sounds a lot different than their studio version, but Mitch GOES OFF in this one (rumors has it he was major jet-lagged and chugged several Red Bulls right before this). I would add to first watch the official 'Aha' video by them or watch the original Imogen Heap song, then the official PTX video then the Singapore one. It's kind of confusing as the lyrics without realizing are all about consumerism and being hypocritical like the person who is all about recycling and upkeep on the earth and then drive a gas guzzling car or something. The official ptx one is also a bit of a story as well!

I'm going to stand up for Kirsty and Scott.They have wonderful voices and PTX wouldn't be where they are without them. Mitch and Avi have outlier voices, they roll out of bed and sing with these jaw-dropping, crazy high/low voices but the others are just as talented. Kirsty in particular gets overlooked a lot, but that blade-like soprano really lifts the whole sound and gives it intensity.

This concert was in Japan in 2016, a music festival for Western musicians. Pentatonix's full set is available on KZfaq, but it's a relatively low-quality fan-recorded video. This 4-song set was captured by a fan from the MTV broadcast. This used to be the only high-quality concert video, and the festival sound person and MTV did a great job on the audio.

I was looking for a new reaction video for PTX and boom you dropped this fabulous video! I clicked on it 51 seconds after you posted it! I was the very first like too! (I'm a new sub, maybe two weeks?) So it felt more like a live stream with you; your energy was still so strong!! 😮❤ I'm also kinda a newbie with PTX as well. About 2 yrs I think. Considering when they started there are still tons of songs I haven't heard. In this video, I was about like you, the only song that I knew was Evolution of MJ. I absolutely loved the whole performance!! 😊❤

According to everyone in Pentatonix (except Mitch himself) Mitch has the best voice in the band. Mitch just looks kind of embarrassed when they say that, but he doesn't actually argue with them. The thing is, EVERYONE in Pentatonix is incredibly talented. They all get time in the spotlight, so they aren't in competition with each other. They respect the talents of all their bandmates, and they're secure in their own talents, and on top of that they're best friends. So it doesn't bother them to give an honest appraisal of Mitch's voice; it's just giving credit where credit is due.

So brand new to your channel but I was enjoying your reaction. I do wanna let you know the songs that they performed, besides the Michael Jackson Evolution, we're all originals written by Pentatonix. On that last song, Water, the high note is actually Kevin you can tell at the very very end Mitch is singing. Kevin is singing the high part.

Honestly I think the mic balance is a lot of whether they sound full live, plus Avi's insane basso profundo when the sound system can handle it - if you watch their original performances on The Sing Off they sound INSANELY full, but that show knew how to prepare for acapella performances since that was the whole point XD

There are three originals and on Evolution. Kiirsten wrote the last song. the other two are colabs from them. They RE SUPER TALEENTED WITH NO EGOS. tHE SINGER THAT THE BEST FOR THE SOND GETS THE LEAD AND THE OTHERS HAVE THIR TIEM TI SHINE USUALLY. mITCH DOESN'T THINK THAT HE IS BEST SINGER BUTTHE OTHER MEMBERS DAY HE HIS, i ONCE HEARD sCOTT SAY ON AND INTERVIEW THat he hadn't heard Mitch sing wrong in an concert. That's remarkable since they have be togtether for twelve years with on single change of personnel.

Thanks for reacting to one of my favourite Pentatonix videos. It was fun. Try looking at the Aha! Singapore video. Not a brilliant recording, but THAT was a performance. Although the official video is fun with clearer audio. You should also look at Forestella as you're fond of harmonies. I would suggest Bohemian Rhapsody, Bad Romance, Sweet Dreams or the old English folk song Scarborough Fair if you're into classical (I am). They are a South Korean male quartet with a brilliant bass and a counter tenor who is at least as versatile as Mitch, and I love Mitch. All of the voices are outstanding and they're known as the King's of Harmony.

@@KaireemReactions Just the one outside group, Forestella. Obviously Pentatonix and of course their off shoot Superfruit who I wasn't referring to then. I will always recommend them. But Forestella has harmonies to die for, even though they aren't directly acapella. Great covers and originals and their individual singers are outstanding separately and together.

Had you heard the recorded version of "Cracked"? It is an original song with no official video. If not, why did you make those remarks about Avi and Kevin recorded and live versions since you had not heard the recorded audio version? You were making a comparison to a song that you had not heard. You just have to get a dig in when you do PTX reactions. Odd.
