I remember when the West Indies beat the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas was so embarrassed by the defeat that they went back to playing American Football.

What i love about sketches like this, is that even though its making fun of the sport. The joke is actually made for cricket fans. The more you know about the game, the more the jokes actually land. Its a joke for cricket fans, by cricket fans. proof we can all laugh at how silly we are are
@rolirolster6 жыл бұрын
Agreed, it really is a genius sketch :-)

Exactly, it mocks Cricket, but only Cricket viewers would understand most of the jokes.

I thought this was making fun of all those 'sports' movies where a bunch of amateur/untrained players coached by an old 'has-been', disillusioned, bitter balding old man go on to win a major championship/trophy

This sketch is actually missing the opening part, where the directors are talking about how little research they did.

If you like the look of cricket after watching this you should also check out the proud sport of farnarkling. The way Dave Sorensen used to arkle the flukem, it was almost as if he had it on a string. RIP John Clarke
