Thank you for this! It was so easy to follow! The man that was teaching me at the shop I currently work at didn't like recreating mitred sleeves, so he would always just convert it to a different style. I always wanted to just keep the look of the sleeve but mitres intimidated me. I can't believe how not-hard it is to shorten sleeves this way. I just did a blazer for a customer and it came out amazing!

You make it seem so simply but after trying two hours, I still can’t get it professionally done. Please do a video on a men jacket that is being re- mitered. It will also be helpful if you will show how to reattach the lining after the miter. Thanks

Hello, perhaps you can advise me on a problem I have had a few times. The top vent is not sitting flat on the bottom vent. There is a fold of material about 1 cm next to the 3rd button up from the cuff. What am I doing wrong and what can I do to fix it? Thank you for any help you can offer

Jamie, here's something you might understand, though it's too esoteric for the usual 'mitering' tutorial. I've made a morning coat. I want to edge it like Prince Charles has on his morning coats. There are two miters per side, the point on the collar above the notch, and the point of the lapel. My binding looks like his, but is poly, not silk. It's 1"wide, and will be pressed in half so it covers the edges on both sides (like the 1936 morning coat I acquired years ago). I was thinking of using fabric glue to hold it in place, instead of pins, which I fear would distort the line. But the miters have me stymied. Any suggestions? Thanks from Southern California.

@@spx8jkbEnglish-French spelling. However, I've watched many tutorials by British as well as E/W Indians who include English ruler measurements (inches) more often than metric. Everyone loves convenience. Just a heads up - we, Americans, are big time mass consumers of everything as well as love getting paid, subscribing & promoting others to get paid for good & easy to find tutorials! This is an excellent well deserving tutorial ...
