What a lifesaver. I thought my batteries had gone bad. Only clock time was up. I changed to new batteries and nothing changed. I was furious at Duracell. Now I understand what settings mean. I had figured out max fan and usually ran in that mode. Now the vane was closed and no air. Your video saved my butt and know sir is working. This has been a marvelous unit for 5 years. Now I no longer am afraid if buttons get pushed and I have to randomly push buttons until I get it running. You were very concise and gave clear understanding of how this once mysterious remote works. Any one getting this unit should be given you video to watch. Thanks again.

Hands down the most useful thing I've seen on KZfaq in 20+ years. Staying in a hotel (why do hotel climate control units never make intuitive sense??) with one of these units and remotes. Was totally flummoxed. After this video, I'm looking at a good night of sleep!

This is the best video for the worst remote interface. I color coded the MODE values on left side: green=auto, blue=cool, orange=dry, red=warm I also did them on the back side since the colors fade.

The batteries of my controller have come to an end , first thing I have done is going to the Mitsubitshi web to get the instructions manual. It lacks so many important info , at least in my home language , that I have had to look for tutorials on you tube. There are a few of them but nothing as GOOD and complete as this video. 35 degrees outside today made me freak out until I found this . Thanks from the bottom of my heart

Excellent description & application of this remote. I recently had a Mitsubishi Mini-Split & Ducted system installed, but only received what I would consider an installation/operating remote control. I often wake up because the unit makes noise like water is pouring out of it, but there is no leak. I am sure it is the freon gurgling through the system, sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes for half an hour, most common in the wintertime. It is so darn loud I am convinced my place is flooding, but it isn't. Thanks for the video

Thanks so much for this. There is was no manual given to tenants. I didn't even have a remote or knew there was one until two years after moving in my apt manage gave me one but no instructions....I don't think they even know. The other thing is this system shuts off at 20 degress. I live in NE Pennsylvania. Winters are cold. I, at least, now have everything set properly it looks like at the moment. The only thing you didn't discuss in your advanced was the WAIT and HOLD. But I think I have it.

Thank you. Love the unit here in San Diego. Only issue is trying to get the heat going. It worked just fine the first morning. The next morning the wife used a different remote which was set for a/c so I turned it off and put the settings to heat and it took a few minutes and worked fine. Now, I try to turn one of the splits on for some heat (all other units are off) it doesn’t do anything.

FYI, when changing batteries it is NOT necessary to press RESET in order to adjust the time... just press CLOCK. To not loose the time just take out /change batteries one at a time. **Never ever run a multi head system in Auto Mode (first symbol, box with 4 arrows). It doesn't work well and will most often cause an error, (blinking lights) on the indoor unit, because system doesn't know whether to Heat or Cool, it cannot do both at the same time so it does Nothing! This feature has caused nothing but trouble for me and my team and I wish the Mitsu would simply get rid of it...Ductless Crew Inc.

Thank you for the explanation. I despise this unit. Followed every instruction and the unit seems to just work when it feels like it. I have it set to cooling at 61 degrees with fan on high trying to force the unit to kick on and I’m getting NOTHING. Sometimes the fan kicks on and turns off within 5 seconds no exaggeration. It’s driving me insane. Please someone help - how do I get this thing to stay on?!!!!!

Excellent video. My dumb self couldn't figure out that sun meant hot and started the heat....all because I didn't have immediate feedback from the unit by having hot air kick out....apparently it had to sit on that mode for a minute or two before doing anything so I just kept changing settings until I was patient and it worked 😆
