Sorry I've been out of the loop so I have some catching up to do. It was nice of Costa Concordia to sink 100 years after the Titanc wasn't it? You caught ne out with Europa island so 29/30 (including Florence of course). Being honest, I didn't get the bonus but there are so many conflicting lists of birthstones that I've never bothered learning them.

The original statue of Michaelangelo's David is located at the Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence, not Milan.

23/30; the birthstone I always knew as June's is pearl. My late ex's bd was in June, but Google says there's three, one of which is the answer you gave, so I learned something new.

I knowJanuary is usually garnet, February amethyst, April is often diamond and May often emerald, but there is so much disagreement about ones in the middle that they don't generally make for good questions. Here Mr Quizster did show the stone and mention its origin as well so he gets a let off!

Though three gemstones are associated with the month of June, I believe you're referring to the mysterious, colour-changing Alexandrite. My overall score: 25/30. Phew! I knew Florence had to be right. Not too bad for an old brain, I suppose!

Well, I won't give my full score being that it was so horrible. I'll focus on the positive and just state that I got the last 5 correct. The rest - including the bonus - I got battered like an old Mike Tyson opponent ☹☹.
