Mine too! Debbie just commented that the little piece with the fern is from a folder she had in the 70s in high school.The spots on it were from age! Really cool backstory on that one.

Omg! When you pulled out the coluzzle to cut out the hexagon that brought back memories. I still have mine and I'm tempted to pull it out and use it. Isn't it amazing the items we purchase over the years. Die hard crafters we are. Awesome collage Shel.

What a fun way to make a hexagon piece of art. Think I would trace around my dies, so I wouldn’t have to die cut them over and over, just so I don’t have to buy another tool. Love your tool. Very pretty.

I just watched both the full version and this one and I wanted to comment again how much I enjoyed it. I have been playing with hexagons and octagons for months. In your gel print using the wallpaper from my bathroom in the 70's and picked it up with my favorite color which is Naples yellow, then to top it off you used a piece of my high school folder (yes the 70's) with the fern leaf in it. BTW the color variation is AGE, ha ha. The whole time you were putting it together my eyes were drawn to the fern leaf and I thought it was just me until you commented you liked that area too. Your piece of paper towel with the ridges still shows too. Thanks Shel, I love it when you use something that I thought you would do something awesome with.

See that is why happy mail is so fun :) I remembered you gave me the wallpaper and it works great for mark making. I did not know the handmade paper was from your boxes though. That little area in the piece is really interesting! Thanks for sending me fun things to incorporate into my art :)

I was working on a large-ish canvas and somehow my gloss coat ended up really cloudy and I lost about 7 layers and a couple of months of work. I was able to use alcohol and a toothbrush to get through some of it, so I was left with this pretty canvas, but the colors were much paler than I wanted thm to be, but too many layers to paint over and begin again. Your paper collaging inspired me and now I know what I am going to do with it. It will be a horizontal rectangle with a branch across it and a bunch of smallish collage birds out of some paper which I am going to start creating. Thank you for helping me figure out how to save a real mess!

Really enjoying watching yout videos, love your canvas. I have some of the izink ice, they are great, I especially love the beige, ( I know!!!... such a boring name for a fab colour). I think Seth apter calls it baby poop!!!...

So nice! Love the colors and composition! A triptych would be a great idea. Would you do other geometric shapes or lines?

Thank you Toni :) I think I would do one with lots of vertical lines with a few horizontal for contrast and then one with more curvy shapes, as hexagons are quite rigid. But all in the same colors.

This piece is beautiful Shel! It looks so dimensional in the photos and my eye goes straight to the leaf shape. You work wonders with the Pitt Pens. Your shading added life to these shapes.
