Great demo you did there. i also listen to the mix then solo the vocals. I always roll of some lows and highs then find the boxy area and cut then listen to the mix again and do little tweaks where needed. Solo is good. I have console 1 too, amazing tool and i adore Class A it sounds fantastic but the eq is a bit limited but i use Pro Q where needed. Plugin count in my mixes have dropped dramatically. Love it.

Great example of the features for console 1 but I'm not a fan of processing vocals in solo.

For the purpose of making the processing obvious in the context of a KZfaq video I mix the vocals in solo . Cheers !

What mic what interface you using are you using any outvoard gear?

At the moment I use a RME UFX+ and some outboard : Creme and VTC from tegeler , C502V from bettermaker . Cheers

the vocals sound a bit saturated, perhaps they were tracked a tad too hot ? :)
