I had fully expected Mizu to dodge more attacks by sliding around, rather than getting taken out of the air so often - it also looks like Mizu has really long wind-ups that just don't work well against monsters. Deserved win for Diablos here, was definitely dominating through most of the fight.

Mizu put up a good fight, especially at 16:45 when it dodged Diablos and made Diablos run into his bubbles. Mizu dodged a lot of attacks, which is something we don’t really see too often in these fights

11:35-12:20 Diablos landed a nice chain of attacks here, Diablos just wouldn't let Mizutsune have any breathing room

Not only does Mizu have long windups and jump maneuvers that are interruptable for long down time, but it also has long resting periods after attacks.

@Handtomouth exactly, each time diablos got a drop on Mizu it got in a good amount of damage in. Mizu just isn't aggressive enough to compete with Diablos.

Fight was going well for Mizutsune at first, but his mid-animation interruptions really hurt his chances. Even though I was rooting for the underdog, I gotta admit that 23:08 is a fantastic mid-air finisher!

@@MSSDeathmatch the main reason Mizu lost is because he was constantly flinching from pretty much everything Diablos did. I was betting on him because I knew the bubbles would do a huge amount of damage (which they did) but the lack of attacks due to flinching and getting knocked out of the air was what nipped him in the butt in the end. I just hope those flinch inducing attacks cause Diablos to win in the end, because then Mizu only lost to the one who is the victor of the tournament anyways XD

Dang it… Mizu lost… Looks like Mizu has a lot of attacks that can ground him if he gets interrupted midway, and this gave Diablos the chance to strike back and punish Mizu greatly. Hoping Lunagaron wins the next one

@@callummorrish3554 Lunagaron has a good chance. Ice Blight is very effective in the MvM matches and since Astalos is weak to it, the effect will stay longer.

@@noahgarcia2711 seregios lost because of rakna's absurd tankyness. Rajang lost to a monster that dealth more damage and delayed his attacks enough to chain stuns. Lunagaron has neither, so I think astalos has at least 60-40 odds.

This kind of went how I expected but I'm not upset by it. Mizu was going to have a rough time in this bracket no matter who it fights, either really aggressive monster(Diablos, Tigrex, Seregios, Luna) or a monster Mizu is weak to (Zino, Astalos). Mizu's only good MU is Rakna.

11:31 Uh, did Mizu power up Diablos with a red bubble?? Or was that an invisible player? Also 12:31, 12:55, 13:41, 20:23 and 20:52 just seems like an unfair hitboxes. Poor Mizu. Those mattered.

Spoilers I bet and Diablos and was not disappointed. He absolutely had way to much stagger power and knock down potential for Mizu to really deal with, all though it did put up a good fight regardless. Good show all around! I finally guessed right, and we’ll see if my boy can take on if my boy Astolas can bring home that fat W.

Diablos is a good choice in these monster vs monster fights, as we saw he is aggressive and has digging to keep it safe from attacks. Unlike Mizu zino is also aggressive so it's gonna be a tough one to call in the next round.

Spoilers Gotta say, mizutsune put up a good fight, but at the end of the day, it couldn't handle the tyrant of the desert. I also find it pretty amusing that the killing blow diablos gave was from a rock. Good fight though, good fight. 23:06

This fight got really close! Even with a health disadvantage like that and being inflicted with waterblight a couple of times, Diablos got the win. In the end, it seems the pure power of Diablos was too much for Mizu and got rocked like a hurricane as shown at 18:08 which was a very nice finish. Another of my favourite moments is also at 12:00 because that's a good clash and I love to see some clashes.

I feel that the main reason Mizutsune lost is due to how many times it was staggered and knocked down, it had no trouble dealing damage but with being hit hard so many times there wasn't much it could do- a very entertaining fight though

I had my money on Mizutsune but the outcome makes sense. A lot of Diablos' attacks turn its whole body or large parts of its body into hitzones, and it generally has less wind-up to its attacks. I'd hoped Mizu would be able to make up for that with its agility and its bubbles but the bubbles didn't do enough damage and Diablos' tracking was too strong

Well the best moves is Mizutsune Dodge from Diablos heavy attacks 9:46, 10:30 and 11:37 to 12:03 other thing Diablos hit 7 combos.

ネタバレ注意最後の大判狂わせすごかった(小並感) ミツネは属性があってかつ捕らえづらいスピード、高水圧ブレスや泡による小攻撃を駆使できるからてっきりディアが不利かと思ってたが、対するディアは無属性で殆ど近接攻撃しかできないのと引き換えにタフさではあちらより勝り、潜りからのヘル・トゥ・ヘルと角の強突きを(外してしまう場面こそあるものの)攻撃の直前や終わりのタイミング等を見計らって上手く駆使してる。ミツネが飛びかかる瞬間狙って撃墜しダウンさせてたのも中々賢かったと思う。今回のディアは何となくスピード攻撃とパワー攻撃の使い分けができる個体だった気がする

The overly long knock downs made this feel unfair for mizu. Wish the devs at least made it get up faster if it gets knocked out of the air.

@ultimate giga-chad guessing fight's isn't always as straight forward as we might think. I hope you guess the next one right. The HP is actually defined by Capcom and I just simply reduce them proportionally to make fights shorter.

If this was an Anime, Mizu would win, and then has to face Zinogre his old Rival. After that, Steve would figth Astalos, and then Astalos would fight Zino for the Title of best Thunder Flagship. But I doubt Mizu can deal whit Diablos...

@Moonlight Flower Yeah diablos rarely gave it any breathing room and took the W with a lower HP too. If only Mizu didn't drop so many times during the fight it might've had a chance.
