Can’t even imagine having enough money to have professional aquascapers to maintain my tank each week 😂 wow! The filtration systems are insane! They don’t even feed their own fish, they are all automated. Personally I enjoy doing the maintenance myself, and feeding, so it is such a weird concept to have someone else doing it, for me anyway. Beautiful tanks.

With big tanks, comes big responsibility and all clients do feed the fish themselves too with frozen or life food. The fish feeders are just there to guarantee a baseline, feeding small amounts multiple times a day. Having my customers feed the fish, ensures they check on animal health regularly and report to me, in case something happens

When you work 80 hour weeks highly specialized with lots of responsibility and also have a family, you will start to outsource lots of tasks because your time is spent more effectively at work (or otherwise your line of work might not even be a possibility). Of course most people work less and maybe have hobbies (myself included), but I can see how highly diligent and efficient people outsource it.

@JurijsJutjajevs
@JurijsJutjajevs 5 ай бұрын
Big tanks have automated daily water changes. This requires a a sump with fresh water inlet and a sink for dirty water attached to it. On the clean end of the sump fresh water is added, this causes the old water to overflow on the dirty side. Alternatively dirty water is pumped out on one end and is automatically refilled with fresh water on the other. Just working with timers, pumps and floating valves. On the smaller aquariums RO water is collected ahead of time in the barrel using again timers and sensors to prevent overflowing. Just look at your own system and try to identify the bottle neck and if there is a possibility to eliminate it?

@Karp_Keeper if you think about it it's just like taking a rural person and putting them in a big city. They will be around germs their bodies are not used to that the other fish harbor without issues.
