MK Party outperforms EFF and IFP in by-election

The MK Party continues to cause upsets in areas that were traditionally strong-holds of the more established parties. The party recently outperformed the EFF and IFP in a debut Mpumalanga by-election. A similar trend was observed in a KwaZulu-Natal ward where the ANC breakaway party garnered a sizeable share of the vote. Is this a trend likely to be seen in the upcoming polls or it's too soon to tell?
Election analyst at the Institute for Election Management Services, Thembelani Mazibuko unpacks this.

@francinamotsa3661 Big mistake uou making is comparing EFF and Zuma they are not enemies no need to make they fight each other, they stronger together. But that said be aware that many votes of the EFF came from KZN as to make that 13% in 4 by elections last month MK became number 2 and 1 after IFP, pushing ANC to number 3, EFF to number 4. All this means support of the EFF, IFP, and ANC is dropping by a party which is 3 months old.

It's a very strategic move of the ANC it appears to throw Ramaphosa under the bus and some making even idiotic statements like Andre de Ruyter is the one which started loadshedding or loadshedding isn't the end of the world. Well every podcast which I look at just talk about ANC members which leave the ANC to join MK. So it's a new name but the same brains. They also have no respect for the law. No respect for the constitution. Zuma's got the same idea as Robert Mugabe stay in power forever. What the people don't know the constitution is there to protect the people against abuse. To give criminals the mandate to change it will not benefit the people. It will take al their rights away from them like in Zimbabwe. It's not the constitution which failed the people it's the ANC which never applied the constitution.
