B223, f34, and 122 are the only things that are the only things that are flawless blockable dude...and he didnt even explain that about Kotal...his d3 jails into highs so mids arent really an issue with him at all if you actually played him...You never played against an Ascension Kotal have you? You mightve played against a Buluc but not ascension nope i bet. And people say its hard for Kotal to get in when he has a 10f parry which makes it a lot more easier for me to get in on people. And his 122 mind game in ascension is od asf...you have s1 tick throw, 12 tick throw, or just 122...all guesses and if you want to be a little risky, u can go for his launcher after 12...and not to mention he has one of the best movement in the game, and then you have Buluc insane startup on his damage totem which is fine to me idgaf, Obsidian totem which u dont even need to stack up tbh unless u playin against a zoner...but I use totemic against zoners anyway because his amplified cat and go through projectiles...if amplified cat was a lot more safer, trust me that variation would be A LOT more useful

Liu is definitely good dont get me wrong. The only issue with Liu is that he whiffs A LOT which is bad for certain matchups such as Joker, Johnny, and any female character in the game. If this wasnt the case then i might put Liu top 1.

Maybe its the fact im a Johnny main since day 1 but Johnny isnt that good. Dont get me wrong he is godlike but I dont think he is so good to be considered a better character. If anything it is a toss up between them at best and just straight up Liu is better at worst. Johnny gets up-played a lot because for a little while he was the flavour of the week character. But realistically Johnny is just a solid character. He is annoying and strong but he isnt too cheap. His corner game and comeback potential are nutty sure but in reality he is just a solid character all round. I dont think johnny is the best at anything in particular. Mans just good all round. But man also has a fair bit of weaknesses and bad whiffing issues. Every issue kang suffers from Cage does too. If anything id say Cage has worse whiffing issues. I think putting him over Kang is either Kang downplay or Johnny upplay honestly. But does it really matter? I mean honest both these guys are very good.

In this game, since its actually more balanced than some of you think...but stuff like that is all you need to be top tier in this game, no one is saying like hes broken or anything, he a solid top tier

Imo I think Liu might be SLIGHTLY better than Johnny because of his tools. Liu has good zoning, good krushing blows, solid ass damage, 12 which is plus, and a 9f mid, whereas Johnny has, 124, advancing moves like b34 and f344, good zoning in his outtake variation, his d1 rising star is mad dumb , plus force balls in his showstopper variation, unbreakable damage and has a fatal blow cancel. He's also one of the biggest comeback characters in the entire game.
