Just the other day I was in Kombat League and I was playing against a Sonya who would not stop spamming energy rings, so for the next match I decided to pick Robocop to give them a taste of their own medicine. It was pretty satisfying.

I just can't bring myself to resort to those strategies. Id literally rather leave and take a loss so I can just play the way I want. They can get all their wins from disconnects if they want to try to play like that. Id love to know a spammer is out there getting like 20 matches in a row disconnected because they play in a lame way.

Ed Boon will never admit it, but Jade is the reason why they removed running. The second she activate dodging shadows and run, it's a wrap. Jade would have been god tier.

I've always thought this. I think that's honestly why she wasn't in MKX because that game is already broken and Jade just would've ran through the cast with dodging shadows and run. Just think about how broken her AI was in UMK3 lmao.

I am still learning the controls but was playing the Nintendo switch version of Mortal Kombat 11 earlier and this guy kept move spamming. I stopped him by watching the three moves he kept spamming and blocked and jumped over them and began playing the same way he was and I caught him off his guard. After about 3 or 4 matches of getting his own medicine, he wound up rage-quitting.

Joker's BOING move is also really good against zoners. Start-up can be a little slow, but if they do not expect it or defend low, you can jump 1 or jump 2 to get a full combo, or jump 3 or jump 4 for an easy 24%. Downside is you have to sacrifice a slot, so if, like me, you have KAPOW, then say goodbye to Batsy Pew-Pew.

Imo, shao kangs spear throw is decent for zoners since when hit gives your enemy a higher recovery time making you close up faster

Unfortunately with the rain aspect you also forgot to mention that he can liquefy himself and all projectiles go through him. Yeah there might be a little delay afterwards but there's also recovery for the person who has used that special ability to try to get after him. For me thats a 4/5.

I have this problem going on with my game or controller that every time I try to throw a projectile with any characters, or finish a combo with a projectile, the game or the controller won't read the inputs, making the projectiles not to work or not being able to be use. P.S. when I say projectiles, it's mainly the inputs going from left down right or right down left .

I’m 2 months late I apologize. For many controllers if multiple inputs are being read off either side of the buttons on the controller- it’s because the pad underneath that the buttons press into before being registered by the circuit board has shifted slightly

That’s a good one I was considering. But that category goes with Counter Zoning - Trading. Which really all characters can do. Which means you trade projectiles with their own projectiles. Geras, Sindel low projectile low profiles her to trade with other characters. I was going to add that category but man the video getting too long

The spamming wouldn't be so bad if meter didn't passively build up while they were doing it. You should have to engage in order to gain meter, especially if the character has a move where they can phase through projectiles, teleport to safety or throw multiple projectiles in succession. They need to not implement passive meter building in anymore games without thinking about folks who live to find ways to exploit game mechanic mishaps that the devs might think arent a big deal or haven't caught yet. Shit be wild asf that someone though this idea was good, smh.

For me it’s eron with scud shot he can do rattle snake slide which is good because it usually goes under projectiles

TDE + Running man + Terminate = Ultimate anti-zoning

It is the ultimate anti zoning tool. However, terminate is not allowed in online matches. So kinda no point in equipping this in a real match.

You mean energy parry? That is when you parry projectiles. Dragon Parry is when you parry physical attacks. That does not count.

I had to deal with a Kitana spammer today.. his strategy was to just spam the fan until you got in and then he would use lows to push you back far enough so he could spam with the fan again..

Which one is that? I don't remember her have a traditional teleport. Unless you are talking the Nitro Kick where she switch sides. Cause that dont count. You have to attack first then switch sides. She can still be hit by projectiles if the first attack whiffs.

@@philnomenal1661 i just checked it. Eh. Its not that good of a move. I don't think you ever want to spend a meter to always teleport. Thats too expensive. Plus, i think it hits low so you can just jump up. And against jumping air projectiles, it wont punish them. So i dont think that move is worth it. She has far better tools like Dodging Shadow anyways

There's a easier way to counter spams and projectiles... Just use someone who can dodge them

That is more about mobility in the game or someone that can low profiles. I wanted to talk about actual counter zoning abilities. I was considering adding that in but only a small percentage can do that.

That’s already mentioned in the video. That special move is called deep freeze….that’s the projectile that absorb projectiles…PS. Purest Ice is not an official variation, it’s a random casual variation.

MK11 still has some broken mechanics, especially the krushing blow and fatal blow which shouldn't really exist. Half the players I play against just stand in the corner and spam because they can't win otherwise. Others do the same thing and then try to slam you away if you get close to them and continue spamming. It's just sad and pathetic. In MK1 I hope they make it more balanced. Wishful thinking but better than nothing.

Terminator TDE literally recovers in 0 frames on amplification so I'd say its higher than 2 stars imo

I gave it two stars because it going to be expensive having to use a bar just for the less recovery. Plus it’s a move you have to equip, and I don’t see this really worth using. But yeah that’s my opinion, there are far stronger ones

@@MadDoggGames makes sense man! Quick tip for ppl, I always delay TDE for the maximum time when I use it so that the defensive bar recovers enough to where I usually have full meter lol. Definitely slows the pace of the match

Rambo spamming hidden m60's and that log trap plus the trip wire, claymore. Rambo's whole kit is FUCKING ANNOYING. I deal with those the most, when they go to character select after realizing. I know how to play the game better than they do. I play the game well enough and not the best at all, just decent to where I'm not mashing buttons and spamming special projectiles. But if you're going to zone me out throughout the whole match up. Tells me how much you know about how to actually play the game and it's fundamentals. Basically, nothing. A wins a win tho right? With those match ups, constantly I'm just saying to myself, "Netotigr looking ass." 🤣

The game was hella boring because if it. Not zoning but Spam. Everyone spams. I main Flash and Black Canary. Two rushdown play styles that does not exist in the game because of spam. Who wants to play that? I went back to MkX. A far better fighting game. I played super girl, not a fan of her playstyle. Where is the pressure and mix ups.

His clones are projectiles, hence, he does use zoning for this neutral strategy

@@77oAl3xo77 Not everyone plays like that, competitive =/= online or offline. Also noob has some crazy combos you can do without zoning at all. And he has a very high damage.
