Thank you for the video. Nice job done there and a very quick turnaround so the customer should be very happy. I think you're being too hard on yourself. A 100% perfect colour match is impossible on a 15 year old metallic car where the newly painted replacement panels are next to 15 year old body coloured painted metal and plastic surfaces. As you rightly said the adjacent areas ideally need to be blended in. If the owner's not willing to pay for that then they have to accept there might be a slight shade difference. In any case, I thought it turned out just fine 👍.

Ive just inherited my dad’s mk2 st. He replaced the wings on it this year but i need to treat the surface rust on the underside of the car and i need to treat some rust bubbling that has gotten under the paint through a scratch near the rear passenger side light.

How do you remove the old wing right. The bolt between the door and panel needs to removed from inside, where the container for the sprinklersystem are placed. So that needs to be removed?

Is it possible to remove the wing without removing the inner wheel arch liner and bumper? I'm just replacing one wing, the drivers side.

Hey hey, he's back !!! 😁Had a wing rot out in the same place on my A3. On the A3, it's a 5 inch pocket trap for silt. anyways, had a new wing and had it blended into the door ... colour match is bang on ... Audi Lava grey ...which is a pearl finish I believe. Would have been worth your guy paying the extra for blending i think. BTW, watch your audio levels dude... music is way louder than the voice over
