And the tire shop I take my cars to is never busy, so it's not like they were in a rush even. I dropped it off and told them to call whenever it was ready

Must be nice to work on a car with nothing welded with rust. It all went so nice for you almost looked like you enjoyed it. I changed a wheel bearing hub on the rogue few days ago and spent 5 hours beating on it to break it free from the backing plate, had to end up damaging it a little. Heat, penatrating oil, big hammer you name it lol

Within the last three months I've changed the LCA, ball joints, outer tie rods, wheel bearings, and struts so they better not be that rusty! I did some work on a friends car last week that was so bad I had to zap off half the suspension, it was like it had spent a year under the sea. Same with that one, air hammer, torch, induction heater, every kind of penetrating oil invented and even hit it with a purse. Finally gave in and used the plasma cutter

Performance tool is sold at orileys auto here in the states so princess auto must be a ton like Orileys

You should get more torque with a deep socket has more mass the impact should hit harder with a deep wheel 3:40

Nothing like German engineering mixed with salty roads! Try Scoutcrafters's 50/50 penetrant. He is a rust belter like you. Down south there is little rust.

This one wasn't even that rusty! The struts, ball joints, lower control arms and outer tie rods were all replaced a few months ago. I'd absolutely love to work on rust free stuff. I once bought a Triumph TR7 from Texas that was in immaculate condition. You don't find twenty year old cars here without a little rust

That tire shop put them lug bolts on way to tight that is way above 88 foot pounds more like 150 foot pounds yikes 2:30

The torque is actually being lost through the chrome Vanadium lug bolt Key socket

It isn’t. The chrome socket will break before flexing.

@@BruceLyeg chrome vanadium sockets do flex they don't just immediately shatter if they didn't flex Everytime a mechanic used a chrome socket on a impact wrench they would immediately brake that chrome socket for them spline wheel bolts is like a 6 inch 1/2 extention on your impact the torque loss is through the length of the impact to socket to the spline socket your compounding sockets which is were the torque loss is

It took a little while till I felt comfortable under it. I just give the car a good shove before getting under it to make sure it isn’t gonna fall off
