People are actually shitting on Samsung now because they're keeping the headphone jack. They're just trying to make the transition easier on some people. If Apple wants to try so hard to remove it, I think they should've: A. kept the headphone jack and include wireless headphones in the box, then remove the headphone jack the following year. Or... B. Do what they did (removed the headphone jack) and included wireless headphones or some type of adapter in the box.

They should lose the whole headphone jack. after some time it gets dust inside it cracks the sound when moving it around. i really dont understand why you still want a dust collecting hole in your Phone. it can be nice but when there wouldnt be any 3,5mm holes anymore we all would buy usb-c port headphones and that would become the standard. Move on people! stop living in the past.

Also a Note 8 owner here. What's a shame with the apps that I use is that theyre no more capable or smoother despite the 6GB of ram. Theyre written to run well on a wide variety of phones so the extra ram is a waste. It's not like I'm doing so much multitasking that 4GB of ram couldnt handle just the same.

True..I'm getting Note 9 tomorrow and planning to use Dex. I mostly watch KZfaq, web searching, movies with my laptop anyway. Now with bigger monitor or tv, I can watch them on bigger screen and don't have to bend my neck like I do when using laptop. I found Note 9 does everything I do with my phone and laptop and more

I used my Galaxy Note 9 from December 2020 up until December 2023,which is when I upgraded to the 15 Pro Max. Note 9 was such a great phone for its time!

@@shabora112 I think you're right. I believe the battery in the S9 Plus is better than in the S9. But, the battery in the Note 9 is a LOT better. My battery probably wouldn't drain so fast if I didn't have a ton of apps & always have my smartwatch connected to my S9 Plus by BT. It is a great phone! I just wish I would've gone for the Note.

Great move by Samsung. The notch is a design limitation actually. Sooner or later when they figure out how to eliminate the bezel altogether or make them significantly smaller, which I think will happen in a year or 2, Samsung will seamlessly upgrade their phone lineup, while the others will think twice - to not render their current design peg obsolete. Notch phone users won't be happy when that happens

@@ShivamJalali If you do a battery replacement/upgrade, make sure to replace the USB charging port since it probably has worn out a bunch. It might also be a good idea to replace the fingerprint sensor and the headphone jack depending on their condition. (It is just a good idea to get it serviced a bit more if you're going to have it opened up.)

The Note series already flipped the smartphone game a bit by proving there's a market for larger than usual smartphones equipped with a stylus. Apple lauded the fact that the Note phones had a massive screen until they switched sides and made their own phones bigger too a la iPhone 6 going forward. At this point, the only thing I can see changing the game are foldable devices, which is what Samsung is already rumored to be getting into next year

For me, the Notes series isn't getting better and better... the best Galaxy Note is still the Note4... everything after the Note4 basically was a S+ with a S Pen and some minor improvements...

so a 6.4 inch screen, huge battery, a lot better cameras, water resistance, better s-pen, wireless charging, huge battery, dual speakers, usb type c, and most importantly, no samsung lag is minor to you? sheesh I wonder what you consider major
