Quan Chi's death scene is my favorite moment in the entire series! It was so cathartic seeing Hanzo finally gain closure for his tragedy. Not to mention that "GET OVER HERE!" was just beautiful!

Does anyone else think that the choreography for the cutscenes is simply amazing? The attacks and movements are fluid and have tangible weight behind them, and a lot of characters get to have their personal fighting styles portrayed accurately as individuals (Johnny with his exaggerated movements like flip kicks and splits, Jax throwing heavy haymakers, Sub-Zero using his ice only to supplement his already impressive technique as opposed to relying on it, etc)

Chreography from swordsman and martial artists view: They arent that great. Overswings, useless flashy moves, enemies waiting their turn and etc... But it is fun to watch.

Johnny Cage's opening narration was awesome, the music, the cinematography and the statues mirroring the events all give this an awesome setup. Although, not as stunning as Mortal Kombat: Deception's opening scene, it is still up there with my favorites, TBH.

This game's cutscenes really were filmed a lot like a movie. They used actual custom environments instead of just re-using stages like MK9 did. It's very professional and just makes me like the presentation a whole lot more.

It looks like they are even going further in the next installment, with that crazy and funny plot involving time travel and younger or alternate versions of many characters facing each other. Lot of potential for unexpected twists and interesting situations that fans cant wait to see. The story mode in the fighting games is a secondary aspect but still relevant part that developers use to neglect. Since the MK2011 reboot Netherrealm is giving to the plot the attention it deserves, with enhanced cutscenes and more depeloved general storyline, resulting in a more cinematic and interesting tone that improves the game.

khải Vũ I know you mean At this point, the Revenants are those that died at the end of Mortal Kombat 9 who were brainwashed to serve Quan Chi and Shinnok. By the end of Mortal Kombat X, only Jax, Sub-Zero, and Scorpion were freed, with the others just spouting out hateful comments to their opponents when they had to fight, but were otherwise empty husks. Then when they take over the Netherrealm, they go to war with Earthrealm (where most of them were born), kill Sonya, and act like Evil Demented childish psychos. At this point, everyone has lost sympathy for them since they're not brainwashed anymore, and even their past selves call their revenant selves out on this

I like how the art direction from MK9 to MK11 is less and less over-sexualised and overall raffined with each games. When I saw Kitana/Mileena's anatomical proportions in MK9 I just laughed my ass off. I hope We'll see the younger team in the future after MK1 remake.

Watching this for the first time ever right now, and at least as of just a couple minutes in, I have to disagree - I think MK9 looks way better so far. Maybe not as realistic, but the characters feel a lot more expressive and the style has more personality. Raiden in particular looks like he underwent a MASSIVE downgrade.

What I learned in this video: 1) The Lin Kuei temple has an ungodly amount of stairs, which all Sub Zero's subordinates need to haul ass up if they want to speak to him; and 2) Sub Zero spends at least a portion of his day lording in an enormous throne room.

1:48:42 This is an interesting line. Raiden mentions that the snare left behind by Kano could only be disabled after he travelled to many strange realms. And we also see at 52:52 that Raiden is cut off while talking to Sonya, which is likely the moment the snare was activated. I think this is a subtle nod to Raiden's appearance in Injustice. Kano's snare caused him to be teleported to another multiverse ("many strange realms"), where Injustice takes place, making his appearance in that game canon.
