In this video we are going to continue working on the MKII arcade game by Bally Midway. In the previous video we identified that some of the film capacitors were bad near the flyback. We are going to replace them in this video. Will it fix our Mortal Kombat II?

Popcorn Machine was a vibrant soul, one who literally lit up the room whenever it was turned on. And right up until it became less able to get keep the door shut, popcorn machine was full of joy and always eager to help out, no matter what the problem was. Rest in kernals.

I was actually expecting it to come back after the smash 'n' bash, but 38 minutes of black screen was a pretty good way of doing it too. I am going to guess this is probably just the intro to the 14th part and we'll get the real one tomorrow. If it's also 39:34 then the monitor repair probably worked and we can move forward.

You should change your channel banner since you no longer post videos every Sunday. Maybe post up a schedule so people know exactly when to expect new content. Perhaps every two weeks or one large mega video a month if real life is preventing you from consistent timely uploads. Just a thought.

jupreindeer So, replace the popcorn machine with Journey? I doubt the comparison holds up. Yet it was still a notable and consistent part of his videos for a very long time. But I guess it appears his other endeavors and streams/video outlets are doing much more for him, and this channel gets less and less love so it probably won't matter as much to him anyway :-/.

Considering that his beginnings of this channel was just for the love of the arcades, things have grown exponentially. Starting with a mere acquisition via e-bay that drove him to figure out repairs, he has become this multi-cade owner with machines running on location, more machines then he probably once could have imagined owning, becoming a regular maintenance guy, having a family life and even more life while trying to go on mini vacations...John does so much for this channel and his hobby and his life and his wife & family and...and...and... *it can be overwhelming.* On a personal level, I had an epiphany the other day that the biggest change in my life happened one year ago about a requirement of diet change...when it felt like a fraction of the time. John's life via this channel is easily a hundred times more active and interesting to that.

jupreindeer Oh I get the busy part. I have a family with VERY active kids a huge retro collection.. or more like computer museum. About 18 arcades now in various states, insane amounts of retro gaming systems and hardware, rebuilding a house, rebuilding cars, repairing pins and arcades for other people. Yes I get how busy things get. I was just thinking out loud perhaps it appears John has been following other avenues that may be aquiring better revenue for himself and family. So this channel appears to haven't had as much love. I'm not faulting him, just hoping he has no plans to abandon it, nor damage it with stunts that are going to reflect badly. I got into arcades again because of this channel and only wish the best for it. But with KZfaq and Patreon becoming what they are...
