***IMPORTANT***This video does not include every player that has five or more stolen bases in a game. I could only find a few clips of this rare feat happening. Below is a link to the complete list.

This video is a collection of players that have stolen 5 or more bases in a game. The MLB record for most stolen bases in a game is 7 set by George Gore on June 25, 1881 and Billy Hamilton on August 31, 1894.

I think he stole 2nd and 3rd on some so as a Reds fan i'd be willing to bet he didn't get on base 5 times, but could be wrong. That would be shocking though lol.

I didn't really have a baseball team growing up. I remember getting a Kenny Lofton baseball card and then noticing him on Sportscenter stealing bases at will and catching home runs over the wall, and he became my favorite player and the Indians my favorite team.

That 4th sb for Crawford and 6th for Nixon should have been defensive indifference. Still was an impressive day for each of them.

It's hard to know for Nixon because it didn't show the score, but Crawford's absolutely should not have been defensive indifference. Defensive indifference is more than just "there was no attempt to throw him out," it's based on the game situation. Crawford's steal of third was the fifth inning in a 2 run ballgame. His run mattered. Just because the defense chose to not sacrifice their positioning for the batter in order to try to catch Crawford (when it was unlikely they could) doesn't make it indifference. Defensive Indifference is only called in situations where 1 potential run scoring will not have an impact on the game.

I was watching when Nixon got his 6. He was a small but critical part of the juggernaut the Braves became in the 1990s - they would not have been nearly the same without him. Thank you and God Bless You, Otis Nixon. It was fun watching you.

So there's 2 crazy talented runners and base stealers in MLB and they're both named Billy Hamilton? LOL the other guy is apparently in the hall of fame and played from 1888 to 1901

Yeah, Otis stole six bases and it led to two early runs. But it was pretty much all undone because the Braves' pen pitched like complete garbage, being directly responsible for allowing five of the runs to score (Freeman inherited two runners).

Nixon’s were the best not just because there were 6, but because the catcher was making some good throws (apart from the last one for which there was no throw)

Catchers don't throw from the knees because they're cocky, they do it because it might be advantageous for them

It means the five steals in one game is the team record, the 21 is how many steals he had on the year as a result of the fifth steal. Granted the graphic is probably a bit too bit to fit all the text to properly say this.
