@@malthuswasright I think Park was more concerned about making sure the sword didn't go flying rather than making sure the ball ended up in the right place. The sword being involved in the pitch was a horrible idea. But hey, maybe Park doesn't throw well and that was a way of concealing it.

They left out the most memorable first pitch of all time! Yankee Stadium ...... first game to take place after the 9/11 attacks. George W. Bush throws a perfect strike from the rubber, to the loudest roar from the crowd that's ever been seen.

You're right and he threw it from the rubber over the plate. Not only was it one of the best pitches, but also probably the most moving moment in sports history. This was after 9/11 and the president even got one of the biggest ovations before after the pitch.
