Meniscus injuries are not as severe as ACL/MCL injuries. It’s likely he’s back in a couple of months. He will play again in 2024 unless his rehab and/or surgery are completely botched which is unlikely for professionals

I tore my meniscus last month, and it’s a very bad tear. The recovery is 2-3 months. That’s for a really bad tear. He shouldn’t miss half the season from this

There’s 6 months in an MLB season. We’re 1 in and he needs minimum 3 months, with most years being 3-6. Also he needs to rehab. By the end of it it will either be the playoffs, which the angels won’t be in, or the end of the season, which will be pointless baseball

Trout is made of glass. Dude will be a first ballot HOF but his body would work a lot better if he was willing to drop about 20 lbs. Can't handle his own force.

I think that is partly true. Too much is put on maxinimzing performance and torturing a body that finally fails. My unpopular opinion is let these guys use HGH and curative steroids and they'll have fewer injuries. Usually. People are all media crazed about how bad PEDs are. In 1888 when Pud Galvin did them and pitched a great game, sheep ball extract was celebrated. Abuse is the problem. Not proper use. I keep hearing people go off on Judge as a definite HOFer. Nope. I always call it his 'glass toe'. He's had 2.5 good seasons and he's over 30. He won't even reach 500 HRs.

It sucks Trout is hurt but the bright side is the recover usually can be quick. My old wrestling teammate was back in 6 weeks after the surgery

As a Mariners fan, seeing Mike Trout get another huge injury hurts because it reminds me of Griffey. It also sucks to see one of the if not the best players in our this generation.

That crap between Tampa and Milwaukee started when Adams hit Hosjins instead if intentionally walking him. You hit a guy intentionally because someone hit your mistake pitch 110mph for an out two batters prior there's gona be pay back the next game.

I've torn both my meniscuses. The right one I don't know how I did it but it eventually started to hurt like hell. Recovery was a breeze. My left I felt happen and it didn't hurt much - just annoying. The recovery on that one SUCKED and took months. I'm just some schlub, not a world class athlete - sooo... no telling for Trout. Might bounce back quick, might be season done. Hopefully it's the quick option.

Rockies /Marlins final run had to be safe because the catcher blocked the plate. That play was exactly the reason for the rule change, post-Posey.

Mike Trout is the Ken Griffey Jr. of my generation... a beast, at some point in his career we would have said he was the GOAT.... but injuries.... like Griffey... are just destroying this mans career.... Sending prayers for Trout, to have this happen year after year to him is just uncalled for baseball gods.

I wish teams with 6 good starters would just go to a 6 man rotation. I think the only reason they don't is because players want their stats. We ould have less injuries and tired arms.

Mike Trout won't play again in 2024, not because he won't be able to, but because by the time he's able to play the Angels will be so far out of contention for anything that there will be no point in risking Trout's health any further. They'll just reboot again next Spring.

Woooooah hold up everyone. A meniscus tear is actually one of the most minor injuries an athlete can sustain. It’s a minor ligament in the knee, that can either be repaired or REMOVED, and the recovery time is 3 weeks. Also on the radio broadcast, Langston was saying when he tore his meniscus in 97, he was back on the mound in exactly 21 days. Trout will be back by the end of May, for sure.

Angels should aquire Vladdy.They need a big bat and his price should be low(couple minor leaguers).They have the batting coaches to turn him around and make this team contenders once Trout returns.
