Heard an interesting stat yesterday, the Dodger’s bottom 3 in the order has the lowest combined batting average in the entire league. Probably explains why they strand so many runners, you can’t expect guys on top of the order to hit homers every AB no matter how good they are.

Walker Buehler is going to be a monster when he is fully back. He can be unhittable. I used to hate seeing this guy but I miss what he brought to the game. I look forward to dreading him on the mound again because he's good for the game. Yes, I know that sounds weird but I appreciate the game more with him in it.

Long season. All teams go through dry spells. Nothing really matters until October. The Dodgers are now 33-21. Last year they were 33-22 on May 29. Remember, they had a huge August.

Maybe Ohtani is the one who is saying he wants to play. He’s a gamer. I remember he was on the Angels, he didn’t want to have rest days. He wanted to play every game. He’s a gamer.

Indeed, during his time with the Angels, Ohtani san seemed to be actively participating in games as if he was afraid of losing his opportunity to play. This might be a reaction to the frustration he felt for not being able to meet the expectations of both domestic and international fans due to injuries he suffered soon after his transfer to the MLB. It’s easy to mock this reaction by calling him a ‘Gamer’, but if we were to use another metaphor, he might have a workaholic side to him. This could be described as a ‘Japanese way of working’. Japanese people, perhaps due to Japanese employment practices, tend to be reluctant to actively ‘take a break’. Some even consider taking a break from work as a bad thing. Many Japanese people seem to consider it a virtue to work without taking a break as much as possible so as not to inconvenience others. If such (dare I say) bad practices among Japanese people are driving Ohtani san, a strong commander who can suppress such behavior patterns would be indispensable. I recognize Director Roberts as such a commander.

I believe everyone is mistaken in thinking that the team is forcing Ohtani to play; rather, he himself wants to participate in the games. This can be understood if you know his career tendencies up to now. This is a situation where Ohtani himself has to make the decision. It has become clear to anyone that today's performance will be affected.

Really rooting for Walker Buehler. It’s so nice to see him come back after two long years and be himself again. First couple starts weren’t great, but it’s looking like he’s got it-the offense just couldn’t get him any run-support. 🫤 Let’s hope they can pull it together for Yoshi tomorrow.

It’s Sunday and right now the Frauders are looking like they will get swept by the Reds. All they try to do is hit homeruns, it’s not going to work. They will once again get swept by a 82 win team in the Wildcard. Money doesn’t buy you championships. Also, I’m an Cardinals fan, I love Elly, and really hope he beats Acuna’s record, he’s the e most exciting player in baseball. Hopefully he gets on another streak of stealing a baseball every game 😂
