Today I was playing Rafaela, and had an enemy using Argus. Long story short, he killed me.

Extra Lore: Later on in time inbetween MLBB and MLA Argus fought with Hanzo and due to their weapons' nature, both of them conjoined into one and became Catastrophe (Argus' skin)

Argus' basic skin was his original look before getting cursed. They should've also made Rafa's basic skin into a "what if Rafa joined the Abyss" instead.

Its kind of fitting for argus to have the darth vader skin, since their story’s are kind of similar Anakin was once with the light side of the force and the chosen one to bring balance, yet He was swayed to the dark side and became darth vader, and argus is also a warrior of light and one of two who will bring balance, yet he was forced to embrace the abyss for what the priests of light did, both darth vader and argus once fought for the light yet fallen prey to the dark side, but darth vader redeemed himself by overthrowing the emperor and saving his son, but who knows what the story of argus and rafaela will end, will argus redeem himself or will he stay with the abyss.

Their story actually brings to light a few things. Based on the teachings of the Church of Light, humans were supposedly tainted by the Abyss (the evil in the hearts of men is from the Abyss), but so far, the only stories we have of the Abyss actually interacting with mankind is Alice going around and causing chaos. As far as I know, there's no real connection or incident where the evil of humans was actually caused by the Abyss. The irony is that they have a Church of Light that follows the Lord of Light (and subsequently, the good side of morality, etc.) but they practice really bad things, which supports the theory that the evil of humans may not have been caused by the Abyss, but the humans themselves enforced/encouraged their greed for money and power on their own. Following this theory makes Argus correct in that the humans are the cause of the so-called Endless War (which we also have little to no information about) and debunks the "general belief" that the abyssal demons were behind it all, and that, possibly, the Church of Light and the Lord of Light was simply a cult created by humans to control their beliefs. But that can't be right; Lunox's parents were both from royal houses serving the Lord of Light (mother) and the Lord of Darkness (father), so the Lord of Light himself exists. So, where did the humans come from? Are they inherently good, inherently evil, or were they created as a "blank slate"? Why have there been so many evil deeds done by the humans? Why is the Church of Light so corrupt for being a religion worshipping the Lord of Light and teaching such good morals and deeds? Still so many questions....

I like how the story just went with forcing her to drink holy water and suddenly becoming pregnant instead of the… usual way those types of stories proceed. Argus’s lore is really a well-built backstory of how he was forced to hide his whole life in the shadows while being ordered around just because of his difference compared to the other angels while his sister Rafaela was continuously showered with praise and adoration. At that point it made a lot of sense why he sought for more power and why his hatred towards the abyss immediately turned to the humans after realizing the dark truth behind them that the sword had shown Argus. A tragic backstory of a man who got outcasted because of his human origins and forced to live in the shadows and his transition from killing minions of the abyss to slaughtering humans on sight shows how deeply rooted his hatred is upon realizing the harsh truth of his background.

I was interested in the story of agust at first when i read his background. I also know refela and argus like a brother and sister.

please do one on lunox. she pretty much binds most of the heroes together in some way. shes a child from a mother of a servant of the lord of light, and a father who worshiped the lord of the abyss. if an entity hqas both powers of the lord of light and the lord of the abyss. its whats called a twilight orb, which grants tremendous powers to whoever wields it. some orbs of which are the heart of anima, lunox herself, and theres some speculations is the heart of aurora in the northernvale, and the non-canon legends of dawn: "the sacred stone".

Argus was right to be a villain ( like Eren from AOT) because the humans acted like jerks, killed Argus and Rafaela's father and countless of men, forced women to be pregnant even when they don't want to and acted like the power of the light is theirs.

I swear this game needs a proper anime series. There are multiple stories of each character which will keep us sitting at the edge of our seat

Imagine you literly already being hated when u born , fight for the same side that try to kill you and then you realize that the people you swore to protect was the people that kill your mother and father .

My theory is both Lord of the Light and Lord of Abyss (Cyd and whatever) are humans themselves. They are in fact prehistoric great heroes who were perceived as godly beings by beings of other races. Rafaela is not an angel, she is just a product of such hybrid liquid & magical elements that can pregnant girls. In some anime you will see that demons also breed with humans. That said the true Archangels and Satan are yet to be mentioned in the lore. I also think abyss's creature are a race created by ancient demons.

I think they could have removed the god of destruction part. It made Argus's betrayal less powerful. It would've been more powerful for him to learn his past and decide on his own that he won't tolerate it rather than having a demon god possess him for a reason practically irrelevant to the story

4:33 Argus was right all along. Humans are the real monsters. Had the Monastery of Light not abuse their power, the demons would never have the opportunity to consume Argus, who was filled with rage and hatred, and pull him into the darkness which eventually caused more death and destruction.

I don't read stories of heroes but after knowing Argus's story i had respect for him and i feel really bad about he's life but for me he really deserved to be Evil and deserved the Sword because in my opinion after knowing he's father was killed by the light's order and saw the same feelings he and her mother had he knew the light was gonna make him suffer if he stayed there longer and longer

I used to think that Argus was Alucard corrupted, or succumbing to a curse. Now it makes me wonder what if it was Argus that messed up his right hand. Considering how Alucard gains lifesteal and how dark his Ult seens to be, I kept thinking it wouldn't be a stretch that it was Argus who did that considering Argus' Ult.

It's always good to be able to know something about the lore of some heroes of MLBB! But I do agree with what you've said on a previous video about things that need to be improved in the game: The Lore/Story. Personally I'd love to know more about my main heroes, for example Kadita. I know she was cursed and became an "ugly creature" but she's everything but ugly, how did that came to be? How did her new powers help? Did she rule her kingdom nonetheless?? I wish they paid more attention to the lore or would develop it in the future. Also would like to see more histories crossing paths, like WanWan and Yin or Luo Yi with Yu Zhong, so we could have more insight and feel something different while playing certain heroes.
