Yin and Yang are the alicorn keepers who were created to keep all of the balance in Equestria. They were found abandoned in the Everfree Forest and were adopted by Princess Celestia. As they grew, she guided them and helped them discover their purpose in life. They see her as their mother and love her with all their heart. The twins balance each other out as well because of their unique little quirks.
Yin represents the dark side of the balance. She is a very calm and quiet pony with a love for the moon and stars. She is also quite close to her Aunt Luna, and they will spend a lot of time together learning about the constellations. She adores her twin and is never too far from her. She will help keep Yang from being to overbearing and hyperactive. She is also the oldest twin, and she is proud of it.
Yang represents the light side of the balance. She is a very hyperactive pony who can't sit still most of the time. She loves the sun and the energy that it gives her and because of that she spends a lot of time with her mother. She still loves her aunt though because family means everything to her. She loves trying to help Yin meet new ponies even though Yin isn't that outgoing.
