One really great thing about this particular episode was the rewatchability of it, especially in the flashback at the beginning when they showed off the gold stars before Twilight gets the toy crown, they also show Spike scribbling on the wall. A really great detail about this is that he’s essentially trying to put himself in the sibling supreme game because the things he scribbled on the wall was his head and even some attempts at gold stars. This is all really great details on their own to have in the background but it also informs the audience a little bit on Spikes motivation in this episode.

What an utter delight this episode is. It's a perfect yin to the yang in Slice of Life from Season 5. The former celebrates the zaniness of the series while Sparkle's Seven focuses on the show's heart.

Zephyr Breeze is so unsexy, he could the straightest mare into a fillyfooler just by looking at them.

The hardest to watch part of this episode is the Zephyr scene. It's all of the cringe of Flutter Brutter concentrated into one minute.

I honestly felt disinterest in this episode espeically considering it was the 200th episode. For me Frenemies was the best epsiode of the season. I loved Rarity, Applejack, Zephyr and the duo of Spike and Luna in this episode because I really felt the fun in their performances. Pinkies space antics considering all the other stuff she does was kinda lackluster and out of place. I appreciate Shinning Armors role in this and how his security system showed he was competent at out thinking his far more intelligent sister which was great, but in the end the 3 villians later on still manage to get into the castle despite acting suspicious and despite the guards knowing about changlings at that point. The spike being apart of the family bit honestly I felt was kinda just shoved in out of nowhere sense we never really see spike being ungrateful for the family he had in twilight, but the co-op with Luna was great cause I wouldn't have suspected them to work together and enjoyed how Luna hated the bird system. Rarity stole the show though for me when she said she'd come up with the plan and her presentation really shows me a great time and another reason why shes improved from my initial thoughts I had about her in season 1. Shes gone from last to probably 3rd of my favorites in the Mane6 and that was surprising for me.

This was the best fandom episode than Slice Of Life and Fame and Misfortune for me because all the actresses played a part in writing the story which came together in one neat package and gave us fans a real treat ^^ Great job Silver ^^

Luna: Subverts the entire security system because she didn't get her way in deciding how security should be and doesn't like that the former captain of the royal guard, whose job was literally castle security, got to arrange it all. Silver Quill: PRAISE LUNA! SHE COULD SLAY US ALL AND BE IN THE RIGHT! YAY LUNALUNALUNALUNALUNA.

AnY really stepped up his game during this video. Never before have we heard such epic commentary from him.

I enjoyed this episode a lot but this episode did confirm my suspicion that the show couldn't figure out what Spike and Twilight dynamic should be for the longest time since it kept flip flopping between brother/sister and son/mother. Not a major issue of the series mind you but still a bit weird.

Twilight and Spike remind me of the relationship of Spencer And Carly from ICarly in how on sibling has to be more of an adult (even though Spencer has Fire problems)

I still hear "Apple Core" in when Applejack talks about her potential past as a music star, even after you telling me what the actual name is; which is weird because usually when I'm told the "correct" way of saying something, my brain almost immediately corrects it so I read and hear it the right way in the future. I think it's just AJ's accent and the way she says it - the "D" at the end always comes out sounding so soft that you barely hear it, if you notice it at all.

Every episode is better with silver Quill. An y is the new bluecifer .

I feel like I was denied both a Star Trek reference and a Leverage reference. The unexpected use of "We Will Rock You", however, makes up for this.

heist movies like Ocean's Eleven are my favorites "not the sequels" I find it amazing when they do ep like this where it's fun to see how the main six does things like this. i like how Shinning and Twilight had been beaten by a third group, and then the sence with Luna with her pet goose.... priceless.

Oh cool, very glad you got this out before the finale! I love the amount of work you put into each of them. I really enjoyed the 200th episode and love that I got to watch it live at BABScon 2019. It was a real blast. The heist genre isn't normally my thing, but I really liked the craziness of this episode ... with one exception. The only fly in the ointment for me is actually the scene you thought the funniest: I absolutely hate the Rainbow Dash-Zephyr Breeze thing. Besides being a horrible cliche, it takes a strong, powerful female character who never really relied on her femininity to convince or manipulate others (something I recall you being sharply critical of Rarity when she did that) and reducing her to pretty face being forced to compliment, if not outright flirt with, someone she doesn't like and who has a very misogynistic, obsessive and outright creepy behavior around her. This is a trope that needs to DIE. And just because Ashleigh Ball wanted something involving Zephyr Breeze and Rainbow Dash (I don't think she specifically requested something like THIS) that doesn't make it okay in my book. I thought how Rainbow handled Zephyr in his inaugural episode was really funny and even though he was clueless, it never really came off as creepy or disturbing. But after the awful Equestria Girls short where he physically blocked the door to prevent her from leaving, and then again here where he put his hooves on her ... I can't laugh at this or be okay with it, no matter how funny some of Rainbow's expressions are. It's just uncomfortable and gross and the single biggest criticism I have of this episode. This turned Zephyr from a character you can love to hate, to one you just outright loathe. Okay, so on a less uncomfortable topic -- Shining Armor is SUCH a camper! His security system is WORTHLESS if it only works when he is physically there in the throne room to catch them. And since the terms of the contest were only that someone had to see Twilight, he didn't need anything else: not the fans or the doors or the guards or the geese ... he could've just sat down and stared at the crown all day and that would've been that. It doesn't show off anything about the security system, especially since he was expecting Twi to break in. Seriously, serious fail from Shining Armor. Twilight should've won (not that I'm against Spike getting the crown mind you) and this whole thing redesigned. And "Summer Sun Setback" on further proves that this system is a failure. I guess Celestia didn't listen to whatever problems Luna raised. So we all know who to blame going forward. =P Still, great review and it clearly reflects all the work you put into it. Very well done! I hope you have a fun time this weekend and are watching the finale with friends. Until next time!

If you somehow make it passed them without activating their warning lights, then you’re in for a surprise Patrol officers patrolling the inner borders of the kingdom and help stop fights from continuing; They’re armed to the teeth with tommy guns and won’t be happy to see an intruder in the kingdom, you’ll have to hide from them just so you can see the light of day again Then comes these guys The castle guard; more vicious than the other levels of security, if you make it passed the other levels then you’ll be met with a swarm of castle guards shooing you out via violence and weapons. They take no mercy on those who dare trespass without a pass. {18:40}

I always felt that all this amount of security was more inconvenient to the people living in the castle. Look at the finale, the villains get in with no problem, but Shining used the fragments stop magic.

Spike's relationship with Twilight was kind of addressed in 'Father Knows Beast.' They implied a parental relationship, but weren't quite clear. Here, that was contradicted, but I guess a brother raised by the sister was the overall intent.

This is the one episode of MLP that I can't tell if it makes me feel happy or sad for not having any sibling rivalries growing up with my siblings. Though, imo, "Saying that you've never fought with someone is to say that they never pushed you, never asked you to step out of your comfort zone to try new things" is not true at all (Under the assumption you mean siblings of course), at least, not by much.

Oh phew, I'm so relieved now... it took us 2 minutes to reach basic levels of Silver Quill... Also, it's the Twitter Mite powered robots! 🎆🎇 *CONTINUITY!* ❇✨
