They need to renovate the stadium. The field is too small. But Kansas City is an amazing market for the sport. Great fans. Arrowhead has a nice, grass field. It would be a great host for both American football and world football if they could just make it the proper size.

Another thing regarding stadium renovations. The hunt family tried to make a referendum proposal for renovations using public funds, but the people of Kansas City already knew that meant raising taxes, and no way are they gonna do that. They voted that down. The owners the hunt Family should be putting their money, not the money of the people.

I was lucky enough to watch Messi live in 2 ocassions: on Camp Nou when Barça won 5 - 1 vs Sevilla and a pre season on Wembley against Liverpool. Messi was out of this world in both, you can see the difference when he is on and off the pitch. What a footballer!

Even in second Bundesliga in Germany we have two teams with an average attendance of 55 000 and 61 000. In the first Bundesliga Dortmund has an average attendance of 80 000 and Bayern of 75 000. So what i want to say is that we definitely get this amount of people in Europe but i am very happy that the MLS finally has good amounts of viewers.

A lot of English Premier League clubs average 60K but this is only because the capacity is 60K. Several clubs in England have season ticket waiting lists of 25K. It’s never been as popular in England. A few clubs have the demand to average 80K and clubs like Man Utd and Liverpool would average 100K if the ground was large enough. However outside the big 5 European leagues, anything over 50K is impressive. MLS is quite a new league so it’s great to see the Messi effect.

72,000 at a league game is amazing, you don't get that at most other tier 1 leagues in the world. It goes to show how big the passion for football is in Kansas and in American in general. I'm glad that Kansas will host World Cup matches, that will be a great base/venue for teams and fans.

Agree but regards the future of a sport you have to look at the underlying trends and culture. I understand that US culture is about entertainment, big names and success. However in Europe and especially England entertainment is only classed as a bonus. Your football club becomes like your family and it’s all about the result over entertainment. May be it’s the promotion/ relegation system that’s raises the jeopardy to danger levels. Once the razzmatazz, world tourments and Messi mania has died down then it will be interesting to see the level of hardcore support. Anyhow wish you success, you’re doing much better than the Saudi league who only average 8000 in their top league.
