First, this would make a phenomenal wall-mounted art piece. Second, I just realized that trying to retopologize a full model of a xenomorph would be a nightmare, and I have a newfound respect for the game developers that have done it.

You have officially broken my brain. Amazing! I haven't gotten through all the your videos yet, but is it possible that you might do a commentary over one of the time lapses to express some of what is going on in your head during particular phases of your workflow? That would take these up a notch, in my opinion. Maybe not all of them, but some pieces would be nice to hear what you're thinking and what angles you're taking or might have wanted to. Again... Amazing!

This is simply amazing (as always)! Would you consider doing something hard surface (a robot/mech) at some point? I know it's completely different, but it would be an awesome experiment for the technique you use. Once again - it's great and I'm addicted to watching your vids. And yeah - consider Displate or some Art Station posters - people would buy your art for sure (me included) :).

Love this very much so, huge fan of Alien and the sequel Aliens! Question for you however, I started a full body project, but by the time I get to your Mid details video ( your tutorial video for a bust on Artstation), I am already at 1.6 mill polys. I am afraid that come time to pose the Character, using Transpose mesh, I may be in trouble with lag. I even stayed true to 64 res for the block out stage, and then Bumped it up to 172 come mid detail phase, but yet, I still have a high poly count at the early stage of mid detailing. With a full on body sculpt, are numbers like 10 million about right, come the final detail phase/render phase?
@MLWCreative
@MLWCreative 2 жыл бұрын
Hi and thanks for purchasing my tutorial. To answer your question, I tend to go to a maximum of 10/12 million polys normally, depending on the level of detail I want out of it. But it's important to zremesh your model and project the details onto the cleaner model that way you can cycle through the levels of detail better and once you start using transpose tool zbrush will automatically cycle down to the lowest subdivision level of your model and use that as base for the posing and once your done posing your low poly model then zbrush will rebuild your subdivision levels to the highest poly count with little to no problem. I wouldnt be transpose a model with only one subdivision level of 1/10 million polys though. Hopefully this helps. I'm sure I did mention something like this in the tutorial but if not then that would be a good video to make in the future for beginners. 😊
