Pretty cool seeing you with PDM (but I think he was sleepy here...), and I'm really glad you chatted with Kelsey, as well. I only just learned about Captain's Log and would for sure be interested if you did something with that.

Although I've always dreamed of playing with the same group for 30 years, pretty much every friend of mine has either stopped gaming, died or moved far away. It's not very difficult to meet new players, but it's very difficult to meet new players who have the same interests in gaming as you do, and it's even rarer to find gamers with the same interests who are also good players. My tastes changed over the years and I really can't handle D&D 5E or Pathfinder games any longer, so unfortunately I've been unable to find a group in about 4 years. It's been very hard on me, but I still collect the books and watch channels like yours to live vicariously through others.

Ahhh... Good old Gencon lodging near the Indianapolis Airport. I racked up over $300 in Lyft trips that year!

This would have been so cool.... yeh, 4 days for multiple hours a day sounds pretty rough. So jealous/happy you got to hang out with Professor Dungeon Master. When he talked about that guy who ran the Warhammer game.... I wanna meet that guy and learn from him! Damn.... meeting a really really great Game Master is just the best.... it's always great meeting good players and GM's and learning from them. Very cool. :) Looking forward to what's next on Me, Myself and Die channel. :)

I was in an airport hotel too. It's ridiculous that neither the convention nor the hotel could arrange a shuttle service. Seriously impacts how likely I will be to come back again.

Great overview - as someone who has never attended it is nice to see a bit of what is there. Really liked the in-depth interviews as opposed to a quick one that doesn’t really give a chance to hear what the person is about and working on. And the new microphone seemed to work fine to my admittedly non-sound-related ear.

Last convention I was at was... so long ago that "con" wasn't a general word for these yet. There has to be an exhaustion/popularity ratio that gets exceeded, though, to the point where you might not get as much out of it as you'd like anymore. Definitely ran into a lot of the people I would have wanted to hear from. Thanks for bringing us along :)
