Sowthadka Maha Ganapathi Temple is known for its serene surroundings and spiritual ambiance. It attracts a large number of devotees, both locals and tourists, who visit the temple to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The temple is particularly famous for the massive Ganapathi idol, which is situated under tree with no Garbhagudi.
Devotees often participate in special rituals and ceremonies conducted at the temple, such as the Ganahoma, Ranga Pooja, Sahasra Modaka Archana, and Chathurthi celebrations. The temple is also a popular destination during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, which is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion.
Temple also runs a Goshala with more than 250 cows. Do visit to this temple on your next visit to Dharmasthala and Kukke Subrahmanya. The temple is just 16km from Dharmasthala.
