omg THISSSS. as a black stay myself, back when this episode first came out, i saw absolutely NOTHING wrong with his costume. i thought he was very funny and adorable. then i get a video recommendation shortly after saying that people were angry at him for “blackface”. i absolutely couldn’t believe people were actually accusing someone so sweet and loving to be racist. i think most of these people forget that there can be asians that NATURALLY have features like that without being black. ANYONE can have features like this. in fact, ironically, we all know hyunjin himself has very full and plump lips. this got completely out of hand for no reason, and i can’t stand the way some people handled it. i heard that some people even made him cry. and the fact that people are STILL on his ass about it even AFTER he apologized (which in my opinion he didn’t have to) is even more frustrating. the same ones that were treating the poor guy like shit and demading an apology are the same ones to have the AUDACITY to STILL be mean to him and say it “wasn’t good enough”. like, YOU are the ones that jumped to conclusions first, that’s not his fault. and at that point some of those “stays” didn’t even deserve an apology. if anything, they owed HIM an apology for putting him through that kind of torture for something he didn’t even do. this is getting out of hand. why must EVERYTHING be about race? why can’t people just have fun? people like that need to seriously GROW UP and stop acting like the world revolves around one race or culture. man up or woman up and stop acting like a child. and like you said, the bullying scandal makes it even worse for him. i feel so bad because he literally didn’t do ANYTHING wrong. like i’m TIRED, leave him alone.
